Pretty normal. Unless he's drinking a lot more than normal.
Bad breath can be caused by a lot of things, from food or s/thing being stuck in his teeth, to a bad tooth, to just plain old doggy breath. Try some breath buster treats (walmart has them) or s/thing along that line. Also, hard food is good to feed him so that the chewing action can help remove some of the plaque.

Yes, normal for a dog to only urinate that many times. Obviously your dog is not marking. There can be many causes for bad breath but the number one cause is bad dental care. That is you are not brushing the dog's teeth. Other than that you will need to have your vet examine the dog.

Every dog is different when it comes to urination and the drinking of water. Just ensure he does drink some and does not become dehydrated.
Bad breath comes from what you are feeding and lack of dental hygiene. Brush your dogs teeth daily with a soft toothbrush and toothpaste made for dogs (available at PetSmart).
Give your dog bones that will help it scrap the tartar from the teeth. Also, if you dog has never had a professional tooth cleaning then see about scheduling one especially if its over 2 yrs old.

I'd say no it isn't normal, unless the dog spends the majority of the day crated without access to water.
And as for bad breath... That is caused by poor diet, nasty teeth (which also come from poor diet) and sometimes from other medical issues.
www.rawmeatybones.com
That website has 2 books written by a vet who did tons of research on why dogs have such poor dental health, and why they all have bad breath, and other health issues developing over the last 50 yrs.... Guess what he found out? Kibble/Canned is killing our dogs. It is full of all the stuff our dogs shouldn't have...
Go read it, you will be shocked.
OH, I resent the person that said all dogs have bad breath. I've got 3 and NONE of them have bad breath... In fact it has no odor. They have no "doggie" odor associated with dogs in general- their skin/coats...
They are raw fed a prey model diet, and that is why they don't have those issues.
Good luck.

Are you sure that's how often she's urinating? I thought the same about my dog, then started noticing little spots on my carpet where she was peeing.
Bad breath can be caused by the gases in their tummy (just like humans) and the build up of plaque on their teeth. Cleaning their teeth is supposed to help.

the volume is really what you should be concerned about. bigger dogs have bigger bladder and don't go as often but i would make sure he has opportunity to go out about 5 times a day 1x when you wake up, 2x when you leave for the day, 3x when you come home from work/school, 4x after dinner about 1/2-1 hour after, 5x before bed. be sure she/he has enough water and you may try distilled or spring water to be sure it is palatable. some dogs are a bit sensitive to the taste of water.
as far as breath, anything with parsley, fresh breath dog treats, you can brush the teeth/gums more but make sure you use dog toothpaste(human toothpaste has toxic/and irritating ingredients) they make all sorts of things to freshen dog breath and all dogs are different so don't be afraid to try a few products before finding the key.

MIne only pees 2-3 times. He's a little guy I dont know if that affects anything. I give my dog these Dingo treats, they are good for bad breath and I brush his teeth. I can only assume bad breath is from their food or whatever else they are getting into. I know from experience that most dogs get stinkier breath as they get older

Dogs are not supposed to have bad breath. It's dental problems, dental disease, or dirty plaque on the teeth. yes its also the food they eat, cheap food = bad breath. Peeing 3 times a day is normal, but usually in the summer when it's hot they drink more water and pee more.

It really depends on the size, age and activity level of your dog. Older dogs tend to go less often, while puppies should go about every hour or so.
Old age can cause bad breath as well as some types of food.
