Will 16" VW hubcaps fit on generic steel wheels? Thanks, Christian

If the hubcaps are made for 16inch steel wheels, then yes they will fit.

and those are wheels to fit new vw's, old vw's, buses, or what? (different patterns - different ways of attaching caps)
