The Lords Prayer is great put into a song and she just might know the words already!
Congratulations!

Does your daughter sing solos in public on a regular basis? If she does that's cool, if she doesn't this is a really bad idea. Traditionally someone sings Ave Maria at weddings, not sure if that works for an 11 year old.

I sing Butterfly Kisses on different occasions, and I sang Because You Loved Me by Celine Dion at a wedding. Does your daughter have any musical experience? E-mail me. I teach music to small children and i have much musical knowledge. I would be glad to help. bandbabebrit@yahoo.com

Well, it depends on your wedding but if it is more traditional than modern i would have her sing Hallelujah because that sounds good for any singer base (low) to soprano (high). I hope that helps, i sang Hallelujah at a christening and it worked really well and it is known to be sung at weddings. I hope that helps, Stephanie -xx-

She could sing "Somewhere Over The Rainbow" It's a timeless song and it's got such beautiful lyrics. And I don't think the song is difficult to learn.

Okay, it's kinda sappy, but how about "Sunrise, Sunset"? The lyrics aren't complicated, nor is the rhythm. Plus, it's a great song about the parent-child relationship, love and the cycle of life.

James Taylor's "How Sweet it is" might be a fun upbeat one.

"Can you feel the love tonite" from the Lion King seems very appropriate.
