Atheists, what annoys you the most about Christians?

It's not the real christians that annoy me. The ones that throw their faith right down your throat without ever getting to know me and never asking me even why I believe what I do. The biggest thing that annoys me are the ones that sit in there little bubble and won't have anything to do with anyone else of any other religion, belief or sexuality. They only pop their heads out to put other people down and try and win 'points' by converting.

If you are a christian and you respect me and my beliefs than I will respect yours.

I won't say "Christians" as though this is true of the group entire, because it isn't. However, the thing that bothers me about the majority of Christians I personally know or have discussed religion with have no idea about the theology of their faith beyond the basics taught in childrens' Bible study. Most have never read the Bible, even while loudly proclaiming that it is the "infallible word of God."

This is truely blind faith, and I cannot see it as a virtue. How on earth do they know they believe something if they don't even know what it is all about?

It isn't the christians who annoy me, it's the fundies, and what most annoys me about them is their incessant citation of facts which are not facts at all. For example, the 'fact' that the US is and always has been a christian nation, or the 'fact' that evolution is impossible, or the 'fact' that everyone but those who believe exactly as they do is evil and hellbound. So, it's that, and the horrible body odor. Also the absolute certainty that THEY know the mind of god. As if.

I'm pretty accepting of other's beliefs, but I will admit that I do get annoyed when people ask questions that belittle us atheists. I don't do that to Christians, and I'd appreciate the same respect.

i do no longer intend to annoy atheists. My questions at the instant are not geared in the direction of them. maximum of my questions are geared in the direction of different Christians. additionally, if I see a question for an atheist, i do no longer regularly answer via fact i'm no longer one. I purpose my questions at "Christians" via fact they declare interest in Jesus and The Bible. i think of that's greater considerable right now, for Christians to appreciate the Bible via fact we are getting into the very end of time.... might desire to additionally be day after today. (in accordance to our ideals this is.) I determine an atheist has already made up their techniques.. no experience in attempting to transform somebody who would not decide for changing... it can be a waste of time, to no longer point out stressful to the aptitude convert.

what annoys me about typical/most christians? they display a high amount of arrogance. they give off an "im better than everyone else" attitude.

but 95% of my friends are christians, and i have no problem with them. they dont act that way to me.

90% (my estimate) have no idea what their religion teaches.
I'm an atheist and have read the bible from cover to cover more times than most Christians have picked their bible up!

I don't like to generalize, but if I had to say one thing its the way they attack their own. It sometimes seems like they all think every other type of christian is in a cult!

The fact that a lot of them are intolerant to anything that goes against their beliefs.

Their unwillingness to question and inquire. The dishonesty and denial they exhibit in defense of their faith.
