We'll still have astrology and crystal healing and lottery tickets and guardian angels and fairies and television psychics and other baloney.

Religion isn't the real problem. Superstition is.

Well, I am not an atheist, but the WHOLE world will not conclude there is no God. I certainly will not deny the existence of God. And when everyone around me says that He is not there, I will keep on praising Him!!!

Then we'll have to admit that all the problems in the world are our own making. Wars will be about land and property and economics, just like they always have been. (Without the religious sugar-coating.) We will have poverty and disease and bigotry, without God too. Nothing changes.

Since there never were any deities, why do you think things will be different when people agree on that? All the problems are here, and there are no easy solutions now.

It would be another important step in the education of our species. Previous questions might have been:
The whole world concludes that:
- The earth is NOT the center of the universe,
- The earth is NOT flat
- The sun does NOT orbit the earth

No biggie, we got past all that, and we kept going.

Then most wars will be over, and people can get on with the important business of how to feed, house, and clothe the billions of people in this world. Since we wouldn't have to spend so much of our money on wars, we (as a planet) would have so much more money to spend on the general good. I'm not saying there wouldn't be war, but there would be less war.
People would be treated more fairly and equally, because there would be no religion to say that women are "less" or that the other religons are "less".
And the R&S forum would slowly die away :)

Then I still continue doing what I do. On the plus side I have far less annoyances to deal with in the public and politics. The middle east problem would sure clean up quickly!

Then we repair all the damage done by thousands of years of superstitious idiots, and get on with becoming the modern, technically advanced, longer lived, planet loving society we could have been centuries ago.

Freedom. We can finally re-write our lawbooks to reflect true fairness... for Americans, it'd be just like we're actually following our Constitution for once!

The unfortunate part is that we'd still have economics, which is our TRUE God: It's what we waste precious years of our lives to gain, and we worship those who have the most of it. Green pieces of friggin' paper. Sad, huh? So I'd say that would have to be the next obstacle.

We could concentrate on reality insted of putting all that time and effort killing each other because my version of the sky fairey disagrees with your version of the sky fairey.

There will be one less excuse to butcher one another.

Moreover we could put more time and effort into those things that really matter and not build million dollar church complexes.
