I have fallen for my best friend. We were talking last night and he told me that I am like the only one of his friends that still talks to him. He ended up telling me b4 the conversation was over that if I need him he's there 4 me. Anyway, we have never dated before, and as a matter of fact he has a GF. I had actually asked him b4 if he would ever date me, and he said that he didn't know cuz he hadn't thought of me that way b4. Whether he was telling the truth, i don't know. He almost always opens up to me and tells me whatever is bothering him, so we're pretty close. My thing is that whenever i think of actually getting serious with someone, he's always the one who comes to mind. When I think of getting my first kiss, he's the one i think of. When I think of someday getting married, he's the one i think of marrying. Is there actually a chance this might happen, or am I just so close to him that he's the only one i think of?
Please answer...I really need help here

I think that you are reading to much into the situation. I think he ment what he said, he will be there if you need him. He has a girlfriend and you should not explore anything with him out of respect for him and the girl and to be drama free with in your friendship. Leave it alone, how can you even think about marriage and you two do not even go together. If there is ever a time for you two to be together it will present itself in time.

No. How old are you? You will go through many many different life changes and situations. I too had a best friend for 10 years and we never dated, we would be there for each other. But it was more a brother feeling, even if my mom really wanted to see more. Now we are very distant sadly, he turned out to be gay and I am married to someone else, but loving it! I still appreciate him and think of him all the time. I have not seen him in 3 year and he lives 10 hours away from me.

Well the way it looks is that you are just a really good friend that he can tell anything to. He even has a g/f so maybe he likes telling you things that he cant tell her. You can never know though what could happen. You should try dating guys though so your not wasting your time waiting for him to come along if he even does. I would just sit back and let him come to you if he feels that way about u. But seriously go out there and meet someone. Its not fair for you

I think you are probably close enough to him to have a heart to heart talk. Tell him how you feel and ask him what he thinks the chances of the two of you might be.

Its a good chance that it could be... But at the same time that may be all ya'll will ever be is just friends, specially if he has never thought of you that way. Be careful, you may get hurt...

no, if he has a girlfriend, he should not be talking to you like that. I am sure she would not be too happy. Better find someone with no girlfriend. I imagined marrying Brad Pitt, but it did not happen either.

If he has a girlfriend it is going to be tough, but you have to tell him how you feel, it's the right thing to do, but you should be ready to get hurt because he might not reciprocate.
