I'm not sure if this is allowed, but I am very p*ssed off right now so I really don't care! Someone was asking about paganism beliefs and (no names, but I'm sure you can figure it out) someone else had the audacity to say that paganism is turning their back against God! I then saw a little "quote" that they had put: "If we DO NOT JUDGE - we lose the ability to decide what is good and what is evil." I'm sorry, but WTF! If you're so religious then you would know that in the Bible it says: "Judge not lest ye be judged!" The only person that can judge others is God!

I'm somewhat a religious person, my dad is a pastor so I grew up in church. So don't think that I'm against God or illiterate about the Bible! I just HATE it when people judge other people. Jesus, who is God, didn't even judge others while He was on this earth. He rescued a WHORE from judgment! Read the Bible more often! Perhaps you could learn something!

Done ranting. I appreciate your reading this. ;)

Just because it is in the Bible or was said by a "prophet" or "messiah," that doesn't make it true.

"Judge not lest ye be judged!" is a saying said by fools. Everyone judges. You judged the person who provided the quote. You are judging me right now.

Even Jesus judged people in the Bible. Remember the moneychangers at the temple? Jesus was violently angry with them and did not forgive them. Remember the two criminals who were crucified with him? Only one was forgiven. The other was judged unworthy of forgiveness.

Stop naively pretending that the world is better when people do not judge. It isn't. That's what allows criminals to have free reign in society. We have a justice system run by JUDGES for a reason. Judging is NECESSARY.

I agree with you wholeheartedly...they should read Matthew 7...John 8, among others concerning judgement.

I think those that judge others will be most harshly judged by God....remember, "you will reap the harvest of the seed you sow"

What is getting popped over is the fact that there's a difference between "discernment" and "judgement". Discernment is about the ability to determine if something is virtuous or non-virtuous. Judgement is tacking a label, often and incorrect one, based on one's own narrow view of any given topic.

But the bible does say to judge the sin... If a brother in Christ falls away,, you are suppose to help them back,, In a Christ like way with love,, you have to over look some people,, some take it too far,, but please don't lump all Christians together,, you must look at the fruit they bare..Love,Joy,Peace,,, But we are suppose to hate the """sin""" but not the """ sinner""" That's really hard for some...
