I have no problem with people having absoulte certainity in their belief. Having conviction is a good thing, "what would be without passion?" I agree to disagree, and have no problem with people saying I`m destined for eternal damnation b/c I dont believe what they believe.....but its the ones that say.
" I`m going to pray for you, and ask God that u be saved! "

(Ahhhhhhhhhhhh!) I wish they would just say I`m going to burn hell for all eternity. When I come across people like this I usually put up my indexes fingers in the form of a cross and say,

" I Rebuke thee Satan, I rebuke the Satan! "

If you were asleep and your house was burning down, wouldn't you want somebody to beat the door down until you woke up and got out? And if somebody didn't try to wake you, you'd say they were the worst kind of person. So it is with the Christian. We see you as being in danger, and we try to warn you.

Go ahead, start with all the thumbs down. I'm used to it.

Except for the fact that I don't go around telling people that they're going to Hell, you'd probably consider me to be a Jesus freak. He's my Lord and Savior, and I love Him more than anything on earth.

I usually ask people if it'd be OK for me to pray for them, and when I do pray, I ask God to give them the very best He has for all areas of their life. I don't think that caring about what happens to someone else makes me an agent of Satan or anything like it.

Edit:

Max, the motive is caring about other people. We believe that those who have not accepted Christ as their Savior are not likely to have a happy Hereafter. That's why we pray for those people and are concerned about them.

No I like being around them. I am not one, but I do love God. I acutually enjoy hearing them say that I am going to pray for you because you never know what could happen. A prayer can go a long way.

No I came from a family on both sides who were Jesus freaks. I still get mass cards, like today trying to force me back into Catholicism and all it does is push me away. Not all Christians are like this but my former family just will not accept me not being Catholic anymore and they actually harass me about it. I respect their right to believe what they want so why is it so hard to respect me and what I want.

It is more difficult to ignore a genuine proclamation of Love,in concern of one's eternal destiny than the one who assumes the role of God,in condemnation.

Some are really great people and very nice, but some all in your face telling you you are going to hell. I prefer the first type.

Well they didn't freak me out, until I read some of their answers to this questions. Now mark me down as one of the freaked out . . . beating my door down as if my house is burning. . . ya'll must be crazy.
