Okay I don't know what Charmin has to do about buying a bible but no, as of now, all the bibles I've ever had has been bought for me or given to me as a gift. I currently have the same bible I do now from the time I was 9 years old. And I don't even remember who the person was. It was someone who used to go to my childhood church.

yes my bible was paid for and it also was a gift. i have several bibles and one was given to me by a person who found it and used it til he bought his and one was a gift from a family friend and the other was a mothers day gift from my children and my husband.
and as for your statement of using charmin it does not clean your soul, but the bible does. that statement is also uncalled for.
Jesus loves you also.

I have. It's a funny and sad story really. Okay.

I was 19 and visiting my hometown and had come out of a Walmart with some change being put away in my purse and there was this stand set up with people asking for donations to their church. Of course the guy stopped me and asked if I could donate. I didn't want to really donate but then he said he would send me a free bible and plus I just used to feel guilty if I didn't donate to people who were asking me to coz of this guy who lost some points when he couldn't get me to donate to him for his radio communications class. Anyways. I accidenatlly handed him a $20 bill and he didn't want to make change or give it back to me and have me give him a $5 instead. He acted like I was rich and could afford it. (I dressed chic from the thrift stores though sohis idea was waaaaay off.) I made sure he would really send me a bible. I waited forever and finally got this notice in the mail asking me to donate more to their group. NO BIBLE.

I have paid for most of my Bibles, and I have several, since I majored in Religious Studies.

The only ones I've gotten for free are one I received as a gift for Christmas, a Gideon's New Testament, and the "Recovery Version" New Testament.

Yes and it was the worst investment ever. As a work of fiction which is what it is, it contains limited ideas of divinity. It would serve as a great military manual since that is what the old testament mainly consists of
