100 Years is more of a couples song, more for the bride and groom than mom/groom. Like they want to be married for 100 Years.
You said no R&B but these 2 are classics. You Are The Sunshine Of My Life by Stevie Wonder, and You're The Best Thing That Ever Happened To Me by Gladys Knight. The latter, probably best if he is an only child!

When I got married 2 years ago my mom and I danced to "What a Wonderful World" By Louis Armstrong. I had quite a few people say they have heard that in a lot of weddings but never as a mother-son dance. They all thought it was pretty cool.

The mother/son song was the hardest for my fiance and I to figure out. He picked Simple Man by Lynyrd Skynyrd. I thought it was weird until I actually listened to the lyrics and it really fit! It was so moving! I cant wait until this weekend to see them dance to it!
Congratulations and good luck!
Lyrics
Mama told me when I was young
Come sit beside me, my only son
And listen closely to what I say.
And if you do this
It will help you some sunny day.
Take your time... Don't live too fast,
Troubles will come and they will pass.
Go find a woman and you'll find love,
And don't forget son,
There is someone up above.
[Chorus]
And be a simple kind of man.
Be something you love and understand.
Be a simple kind of man.
Won't you do this for me son,
If you can?
Forget your lust for the rich man's gold
All that you need is in your soul,
And you can do this if you try.
All that I want for you my son,
Is to be satisfied.
[Chorus]
Boy, don't you worry... you'll find yourself.
Follow you heart and nothing else.
And you can do this if you try.
All I want for you my son,
Is to be satisfied.

i think of it more as a couple song than a mother/son song..
because you loved me -celine dion
wind beneath my wings
hero mariah carey
in my life -beatles
my husband and his mother danced to "MY SON" performed by Tony Kenny -
My son, you were the seed of life in me
and now, I can’t believe the man I see
with pride, I watched you grow up
you wanted so much to change the world for me
My son, you gave my simple life its key
Through you I see God’s love and mystery
you build up my life with your sweet music
It’s written in the song, this melody belongs
to you and me my son
My son, I taught you everything I know
for soon, one day I’ll have to let you go
I would gladly die, if it saved you from the heartache
the fear and all the bad breaks
that tear your world apart
My son, you faced the truth and you stood tall
but now we face the hardest truth of all
I must say goodbye, but you must go on living
and when my life is through I’ll always be with you
my one and only son....
I watch you now with pride
what more is there to life
than you and me my son?

One of the most common questions spouses ask when confronting a marriage crisis is this: How can I save my marriage if my partner doesn't want to help find a solution? How do I succeed I am trying to save my marriage on my own? Learn here https://tr.im/avId4
It is a typical enough story: one partner leaves, the other stays. One remains 'in love', the other is uncertain. Whatever it is that has caused a couple to be apart, the one person who remains bears the prospect, fear, doubt, desire, hope of saving his or her marriage' alone.

What about dancing to HER favorite song. That's what my husband did. It made the dance even more special.

My husband and his mother danced to "What a Wonderful World" because she said when he was born that's how she felt.
Hope this helps!
