thier faith is one of Earths most beautiful things, but why is it that non of the local christians like me, just because i'm pagan now, i mean, i'm always polite to them and when i was young, before i turned pagan and they stopped liking me, i helped them out at the local church, so why do they not like me anymore, i haven't actually done anything to offend them, i told them that i still love them but they won't have it

But you have done something to offend them, you have shown them that you will not be controlled by their beliefs and ways.
You have converted to a belief system that they do not understand or more to the point don't want to understand.
They judge you as being different and probably strange.

If they can't respect you, you just have to believe that what you are doing is right for you in your life and move on.
Some people just can't be happy for you.

Did it ever cross your mind that it's not just you they don't like. Sometimes some Christians don't like other Christians. I won't preach, I simply make the following statement and I don't care if people believe or not. I was crippled with arthiritis of the spine and I was prayed over with laying on of hands by my Priest (Catholic) . 4 hours later, no pain. 40 years later still no pain. Many of my fellow Christians did not like it, it was supernatural they said. If there is a God then surely he is supernatural by definition as he is above nature having created it. I think that it's simply a matter of fearing what they cannot explain or understand. Someone once said I can never accept your beliefs but I will die to defend your right to hold them. That is how we as Christians should feel. I visited your 360, and read your profile so apologise for this bit. Love and best wishes even though you don't believe in it.

They are not Christians at all. If they were TRUE Christians, they would still love irregardless of whether you were a pagan or not. For some reason they have missed the texts of Jesus where Jesus specifically states that ALL other religions are valid, and the one where Jesus says to love everyone equally - instead they all want to spread hate - exactly the opposite of what Jesus taught. So I dont know what religion those people are actually practicing, but it is NOT Christianity.

I respect all religions too, but I agree that many religions have elements of hypocrisy. What I mean is that very often what is said that's done isn't what is done. If you respect them you deserve, in turn, to be treated with respect. If they can't see that, there's nothing you can do but continue living your life the way you want, continue being polite and respectful, and they'll be the ones in the wrong if they don't realise that you deserve respect.

sweetheart, they are indoctrinated to believe that we worship the devil and sacrifice animals and humans in our rituals, i was a practising christian once, and what i saw put me off forever. they don't understand the pagan faith, and make blind and false assumptions about it...completely unaware that all their festivals are derived from the ancient ways. you will find stronger and deeper friendships now. but you may have to walk away from the church people if they refuse to accept you. paganism is the most beautiful truth ihave ever encountered, but it took a few years to stop being afraid that my faith was evil. every blessing to you, if you ever need anyone to chat to, make it known on this site and i'll email you...blessed be

I'm sorry to say some religious people don't have real faith....I agree that if Jesus Christ was alive today he wouldn't be too proud to call himself a Christian...the way they treat u is not what Christ taught (Christianity means a follower of Christ)...
these are in my view, who want to show the world they're "Christians" & sometimes they're not even close (I am sorry but it's the truth)...
if I was in ur situation, I'd say as Jesus Christ said: "Donot cast your diamonds before swine..." for they don't appreciate your love & kindness...

I'm a christian and I can't tell you why others are being judgmental (the bible certainly teaches against being judgmental, stating that this is for God alone to judge at the end of time). But they are only human and as such make mistakes, like all of us, hope you can still like christians!

You are still a creation of God He died to save. I suppose being on this section you have heard the Good News. I would exhort you to give up your worship of the creation and turn to He who is the Creator. If you are sure that isn't the Path you wish to walk. May you have joy, and peace in the life you have chosen... Jim

Are you sure it's not you putting out a strange vibe? Because I am a Christian, and if you gave me the vibe in person, like this post did, I would think YOU don't truly like me.One thing to help out and what not, that's all great, but is it possible you flaunt your paganism to get a reaction of sorts? If you're a pagan that's your BIZZ.. but, if you are giving out vibes that are confusing that might be where the issue lies.
Be blessed.

I'm sorry you are going through this hun. Unfortunately not all Christians love people the way Christ calls them to. However, there ARE those out there who do there best to respect the beliefs of others. Just remember "Christians aren't perfect, just forgiven."
