You can be more moral without religion, because you can be honest and responsible.
Church people have a magical land far far away where they get rewarded for stuff they should have done anyway.

I am concerned about where I am going when I die. I also don't forget to enjoy the gifts I have here. I love my son with every breathe in my body and my husband as well. I love nature and everyday I find something to do with my son, so that he might love it as well. I love taking him to the park and too the zoo. I enjoy every second I have.
But however I want to make sure that my life is good and I go somewhere great at the end.
No one says a person isn't moral without religion.
But don't assume that a christian doesnt live for what they have that day, because they do. so I won't assume you have no morals and dont assume I dont enjoy my life.

You need to live your life as though it was your last.. in some cases it will be the last.
Morality is part of faith.. there is no such thing as secular morality, even if there was they could change that morality each day to fit intentions of the particular group in power. That is the problem with secularism what is moral today wasn't moral 50 years ago and won't be moral 50 years from today it constantly changes.. there is no consistency because there is no one telling them how to behave its whatever is 'all good ' at the time.

We're here 70 maybe 80 years or so.
Eternity is a long time.
Besides. When you are in Christ you are free to live the life He intended which is a vast improvement.
But if you don't buy into that then have a great day and God bless you.

I'm not at all concerned because I KNOW where I am going. And yes some people can be so heavenly minded that they are no earthly good and I doubt that is what God wants for us.

You might as well ask, why are people so concerned about their retirement? Why not just postpone worrying about how much money you will need for retirement until after you are too old to work anymore?
....Wait, it will be TOO LATE for me to worry about saving for retirement AFTER I retire. I have to plan for it now, otherwise I will have missed my chance. I have to make some sacrifices now in order to save up a nest egg, so that I do not need to make sacrifices later due to a lack of savings.
Same as with Heaven.

I worry more about the christians who are ready to hit the fast forward button on life and get to the end of the world already.

That is the only reason christians exist. Out of fear of the afterlife. Hell and Satan arent even talked about that much in the bible. It was only made a big deal of to scare people into keep going to church.

Because God, who knows the future, tells me to.
DethKlok, I'm worried about them too. But, no - Christians aren't going to CAUSE the end of the world. The folks who are fretting over it are the types who don't accomplish anything anyway.
Those of us who really listen and follow Jesus know we have a purpose to fulfill until HE determines it's over. We're not trying to push anything anywhere.
(We're into peacemaking and we're busy about it. ;-)
Faith in Christ: the only redeeming choice.

You can't pick and choose which morals fit you better. People are so cocky, and so lost, that they think they can create their own truth and create their own morals. Stand for something or you will fall for anything!!!
