Dragonfruit sounds beautiful! It's so cheerful. I love that color still and I'm 27.

None is better. It's her room. Her choice. However, with your gentle guidance the way you do the room can look good.
I did my grandaughters room with a hot pink. She's 8. Then put some purple & some red & some paler pink hearts towards the top of each wall but made them look as if they were falling from the heavens down the wall.
Fabulous!!! She loves it & calls it her 'love heart' room.
All her friends nag their mums to have the same. I have started a trend. The young mums love it too.
If done tastefully your daughters colour scheme could work. Her colour choices are bold. Just think out carefully how to do it with the lime green & white polkadots. Then, don't stop there, pick out a main colour & make soft furnishings ie cushions, bedspread in that one colour. I would use either the hot pink or the lime green as the soft furnishings colour. Or just use the white as the soft furnishing colour - that could add a touch of class to the room.
This will highlight your colour scheme without going cheap & tacky. Think classy & you'll be right. Be confident.
Painting a new colour scheme in a few years is easy enough to do.
Have fun with it for now.

Think Resale:
Actually I would say light pink. I still live at home and when we moved I wanted purple, that is my fav. color. Mom said maybe. Then while touring some houses I some shades of purple that even with a light on the room would be dark. Same with Pink. I would not want some of those hot pinks I saw. So mom comped with me I have a very soft lavander in my room and bathroom. In retrospect it works out just fine because you can use other colors in the room and it won't clash. I don't know her so I can't say but won't the polkadots get old too real quick for her?

Use the darker pink for the main focus wall and add the lime, light pink and white dots (not too many but vary the sizes of the dots to 2 or 3 different sizes.)
Then do the light pink on remaining walls as a contrast do not add dots. Too busy of a room causes for chaos. A room should be fun but relaxing enough for sleep.

I like the concept...it sounds fun...paint color depends on how it responds to light. Look at the samples in the room that you will be using it on & go with your instincts. Personally....I would go with the lighter, since you are pairing the pink with a jolting color like Lime Green.....and adding polka dots... the pink can just sit back & let the lime green take over......

She is at an age where you both need to recognize her input and decision making skills. How about a compromise? Do the Dragonfruit on one (easily repaintable) wall, perhaps hang a piece of white or green plastic yard lattice over it - which will help tone it down some and it will give her a place she can decorate and personalize. I admire your parenting skills by allowing her to have a say in her room decor.

See if you can get her to mellow her colors by asking her if in a few years she thinks she'll still want it to be so bright. Ask her to think about how her tastes have changed since she was say...8 or 9. Then I'd have her do a couple of color sketches changing which color she'd have as the main color. She might decide on a more mild celery green with a more saturated pink for the polka dots...and instead of white she might opt for a more hip color like sky blue, or chocolate.

get light pink but also add in some lime green stripes. In a few years she will hate the polka dots but not necessarily the stripes. But if she is not open to that do the light pink with the darker pink polka dots.

I like her idea! Sounds very fresh and clean. I think if you would paint the bottom half of the room white and the top half bright pink, and then use a chair rail to separate them, it would look nice and the pink would not be overwhelming.

How can you get bored of bright pink with polka dots? The light pink's going to be way too little-girly when she's older.
