Make an island out of your room.
1] paint top of all walls a sky blue, with clouds [ not fluffy - make stratus or stratocumulus ].
2] paint the ocean/sea on bottom 1/2 or 1/3, depending on how much wall space you have - use medium blues from
gray-blue to green-blue.
3] match curtain to clouds or sky - sheers would work nicely [ cheap]
4] get bedding in sand background with green 'vegetation' or seaweed on iton it
5] a palm tree standing lamp?
6] an old wooden lifeguard chair? [ new ones are really expensive ] Paint it white and a bright color - red, blue, green
An adirondack chair would work if can't find a lifeguard chair
7] a lounge chair with cushions in the green or blue
8] add shells, starfish, fake kelp, as decor for desk, dresser
9] a hanging seagull or seagull wind chime
10] hang old beach accessories on walls - surf or boogey board, fishing pole, old sandals, etc.
11] make throw pillows out of beach towel[s]
12] make an end table out of an antique [ or just old ] cooler

For a fun theme, a beach party would be good. You could probably stay with the light pink for that one if you don't want to repaint. I think a more relaxed beach theme would be awesome. Either tan or light blue walls, and you could still use your white furniture. Really highlight your one window!! Don't do dark curtains -- try sheer, lightweight covers like on french doors. Find a large framed picture of two adirondack chairs on the sandy beach, it adds a cool feel to the room. If you're repainting to light walls, go with dark accents. Have your pillows tie your whole theme together.

**other accents: large seashell, candles, flip-flops - in - a - frame sort of thing. just throwing ideas out there....

have fun!!

A teal color is always beach... with the tan carpet and white furniture, this would look really cute. You could even add some sea shells and sand in a bottle or something.

Good luck!

For a lounge look add chocolates and deep saturated raspberry accents. Don't worry the white will still go, it will make it all a little more crisp, and not so 'homey'.
