How do you pronounce spitze ???

In German the "s" at the beginning of a word before a "t" or a "p" turns into the "sh" sound in "SHip",
the letter "z" is always voiceless, and sounds like the "ts" in "caTS",
and an "e" at the end of a word is always pronounced as a short "eh" sound.

German is really much easier to pronounce than English, you learn the rules and keep applying them, the only possible exceptions are words from other languages, and they are usually easily recognized.

Some places in Germany, your word would be pronounced "shpitzeh" and elsewhere "spitza," but it would always have the vowel sound at the end. It depends somewhat on the dialect (like wash vs. warsh in English) -- but words ending in e in German generally end in an -uh sound.

Spitzen means to sharpen.
