If God is merciful why can't he just forgive Satan and give him another chance, that rebellion thing awhile back really wasn't that bad.

God would give it to him if he would only ask for forgiveness. Satan being as prideful and stubborn as he is will not ask for it so he has damned himself and anyone who chooses to follow him. Take a look around us and at the shape our people and land is in and tell me what satan has done is no big thing. We cannot even turn a corner without there being temptation smacking you in the face, or someone addicted to drugs, someone dying from a virus contracted from a drug needle, people with no hope and no light to live, this is horrible. Who do we have to thank for all this?, satan of course!

Satan will never ask for forgiveness, nor repent of what he has done, so God can't forgive him. Besides, Satan was an angel. Not a human. I don't think the same rules apply to him. What he has done, is continually damning people's souls for all of time. Kind of hard to undue that one. He knows what his fate is, and that's why he is (excuse the pun) hellbent on taking as many souls with him as he can. He's still in the business. It's not like he isn't still working on his plan.

Hello we as humans have not had the privledges of satan, Lucifer was a angel and was in the very presants of God and God can show him nothing more of Himself then He has already has and i am SURE God gave Lucifer every chance too admit he was wrong, IF we confess... says 1 John 1:9 but he instead was too proud, have you ever looked at satan's problem, look at Isaiah 14:12-15 satan has/had a "i" problem, God can not forgive someone who refuses it right? There IS a point of no return for us all by the way. www.itiswritten.com God bless.

the events preceding were he was jealous of God, and he wanted to be God, so he took a third of the angels and rebelled. hence the I will also sit on the mount of the congregation On the farthest sides of the north; I will ascend above the heights of the clouds, I will be like the Most High.' You see, Satan, was filled with pride, thinking he as the best, and better than God, which is why people say pride is a bad thing. It can consume some of us even to the point where we think we are better than God.

God has forgiven ALL wrongs done against him, by man and Satan. Satan, however, chooses to rebell still and cause havoc in every's lives. Shouldn't you be asking "Why won't Satan accept that God is God? That he will never, ever, be like God? That he cannot create anything so he makes things up to distract us from what God has created? For example, evolution as opposed to God creating man, christmas being about Santa rather than Christ's birth, and Easter being about bunnys and chocolate rather than about Christ's death AND RESURRECTION. Because Christ lives today, satan does all he can to make us losers like him and miss out on the LIFE and blessings God has for us.

Satan was also a murdered from the beginning. Type in murderer in a biblical word search, and you'll find the verse. He murdered mankind by tempting Eve and then Adam to bring human death into the world by lying to them so that they would commit sin....wanna know more of the story? Send me an e-mail....no preaching, just evidences for you to look up yourself :)

Satan has never relented in his rebellion against God. He brought that battle to earth with him and is continually trying to recruit people to his side.

Interesting how well they get along in the story of Job considering how they are supposed to be eternal enemies and all that stuff.
It just seems so suspicious.
Kind of like a cop consulting with a drug lord about how to do his job.

How do you know he hasn't? Do you think God should leave you an email or sign of some sort?
Maybe someday when you have joined the Lord in heaven, you will have this knowledge.
