I do. I regret it sometimes, but I allow them.

For a long time I didn't, because I heard so much about people getting hate mail. But I decided I wanted to be able to contact some people on here (at the time to find out WHY they had connected to me) so I enabled it. I haven't gotten anything too bad yet, so I keep it up.

I do--I've seen some horror stories on here from people who've received insulting email & even death threats, so they no longer allow email. I've received a couple of insulting emails, but I just laugh it off.

I wondered that myself, I do allow emails and got a threatening email from someone on the forum (not R & S). so it can be a bit intimidating.

Eleventy, I just tried to answer one of your questions on "planting fossils" and was advised "Questioner has been removed".

Because it's the internet. Look up, "trolls," also look up, "I don't really care what YOUR opinion is, I'm not interested. Oh, and don't forget, "I only respond to my friend's email and anything else gets immediately kicked out by the junk filter."

Popular sites like this or myspace attract lowlifes who'll try to give you viruses or sell you crap nonstop. I don't need that. If someone really needs to contact me they can bug me enough on my 360 page I rarely use and I just might send them my email.

I didn't allow them when I was a noob because I thought everyone could get my email address. But I learned that they don't actually get your address so I allow emails now.

I like getting emails from Y!A people. lol

I allow emails, and no problem, sometimes I get some that I don't like, but I just erase them. I'm a christian, no reason to be ashamed of CHRIST! JESUS SAVES

Look at some of the poeple who post here. Can you blame somebody for not wanting to invite 1-on-1 "conversations"?

I do, but I have trouble with my emails. I don't recieve anything that goes through Y!A staff, but they basically tell me I have to start a new profile because of some fluke.

But I'm at sixth level. I would have to start at level 1 again...I just can't do it. :o(
