I have been watching what I eat and I've lost 10 pounds in 3 weeks, but I drink water all of the time and I always have. My question is how much water is a good amount for a minimal amount? (You know at the least?)
I drank 1 44 oz cup full and 1 20 oz water bottle full.
Total so far 64 oz.

My pee is always clear and oderless. I have always drank a lot of water! I was just wondering how much water I actually needed to consume a day. Normally I drink about 100-150 oz water daily, but I pee all of the time so I thought I may cut back a bit, but I know it is really good for me.

I am 5'5" and I weight 200 pounds. ( I know this may sound like I am huge, but really, I am not what you would call fat. I am chuncky all over, but my belly, legs or butt isen't like sticking out. You could compair me to Oprahs body type.)
I am outside working in my yard as soon as I get home from work (Office secretary) then I walk my 4 dogs a little over 1 mile, then I just work in my garden outside, and I go to the gym about 3 times weekly and do around 30-45 minutes of cardio excercises.

I just looked this one up today---one site told me that 8 "glasses" a day could be different for each person---obviuosly a 100lb person needs way less then a 200lb person. so this site said to drink half your body wieght in ounces...example...if you weigh 130lbs you should think 65oz of water a day.

The 3 liters a day is only a rule of thumb. You should drink when your'e thirsty. We get an awful lot of fluids in the foods we eat. Besides, too much water can be toxic and put you in the hospital.

Drink a lot of water until your pee is clear and odorless. There is no actual right amount because we're all different sizes. If your pee is yellow or stinky, you need more water. That's the indicator. Make sure you don't overdo it because water can kill you if you drink way too much and dilute your electrolytes

They say that the minimum you "should" drink is 8 8-ounce glasses.... totalling up to 64 ounces. But you should probably drink 8 more ounces for each caffeinated or alcoholic beverage you consume, because those things will dehydrate you. You should try to drink as much as you can though, because it flushes out nasty junk from your body (toxins, fat, etc) and helps your body function better.

It's hard to recommend a precise amount because I don't know much about you- height, weight, activity level. Suffice it to say that too much water will result in going to the bathroom, but too little water will result in joint pain, muscle pain, heart problems, poor strength, and even death.
I just go by when I'm thirsty.

it should be at least 8 cups--64 oz of liquid. It doesn't have to be water, but, because it's calorie-free, it's best. Foods have water, too, so that adds to your water consumption. Don't have an insane amount of water, because you can die of 'overhydration' just as you can die of deydration.

It depends if your really active, if you take medication or vitimans, if you take any sort of supplements (ex. creatine, protein, etc.) The only problem with drinking not enough water is your working your kindeys.
