Whether we like him or not, we should still be happy for the proud new papa. He's got a brand new daughther born this morning, named Ella Sofia Gordon. Show some respect. I myself am not a big fan of Gordon, I do like him a little and I couldn't be happier for him and Ingrid. Congrats to the both of them!

out for justice. and lilliesweet: you both have very good points: it is a shame that people would say bad things just because of who the father is.

There are a lot of good answers. There are however a few that I'm not happy with and don't like, but I knew I would get some of those types.

Absolutely. This is something that should be respected and not made fun of, even though I'm sure you will get many many many cruel and idiotic remarks. I know Jeff has to be happy, and no matter if you love him or hate his guts, you should be proud for him.

I agree. I'm not a big Gordon fan but I have to be honest and admit that he is a fantastic driver. I think that since his daughter's birth, some people will look at him different now. Before he was pictured as an egotistical person but now he has the fatherhood title. I think he will make a great dad and can't wait to see pictures of the baby.

there are few things more exciting than a growing family. there are also not too many better reasons to celebrate than the birth of your first born-so let him have it. I think Jeff has grown up a lot in the past few years, and now he is blessed with a daughter. She's a lucky little girl,, but from the looks of Jeff, maybe HE is the one feeling lucky. Keep smiling, and you only have to worry when everone STOPS talking about you! Congrats, and best wishes.

First Jeff is a person and now a new father and husband with all the challenges that entails, only second is he a race car driver and employee of Rick Hendricks. Most people on this board understand the difference and can be happy for Jeff and his wife. That being said of course you'll get the trolls who's only purpose on this board is to inflame and incite. We all know who they are. This event gives every person who participates in Yahoo answers a chance to show while we can be passionate about Nascar,we understand that life is much bigger then who won a race.Congrats Jeff and Ingrid.

I'm a big fan of Jeff Gordon... and I couldn't be happier that he's now a father. ^-^ I was thrilled when I found out that he was gonna be a daddy... and now I'm ten times thrilled that he had his girl today rather than this Sunday because I'm gonna be at that race. He probably still won't be driving... too early for the little one to be home, right? Its all good. I'm proud for him too! ^-^

I have a niece who just turned 4 over the weekend. So I know how special a little one is. I am not a Gordon fan, but your first child is a special occasion.

Sure, as free and greatful people, we should be happy that a life has come into our world. And we all know that this child will be adored by her parents. Shame that some people will hate this child because of who her Father is. But then again, some people are total nuts.

My congratulations go out to them as well. I have a three year old daughter myself and she has brought so much joy into my life that I can't help but wish that same feeling for everyone.( Although check back with me in 13 years when my daughter is sneaking out of the house to see her boyfriend.)
