Find a different place. I have a sun tattoo (like the Godsmack logo) on the back of my neck - normally my hair covers it, but I just had it [my hair] cut. I don't mind anyone seeing it - but then I don't have a regular job or a boss.
I have 7 tattoo's and except for the back of my neck they are all easy to cover. I've found the best way to decide if a design or idea for a tattoo is good, I ask myself: Would this upset my mom?
Oh Dawn - good point! Who is doing this for only $20?

Firstly, I would be scared to go to someone who is only charging $20. That's a ridiculous low cost for a tattoo. I wouldn't trust them.
Secondly, I'm all for tattoo's I have one myself, but get it somewhere that can be easily covered up. How to you think you'll feel when your a senior and you have that tattoo on the side of your neck? Not only that, but what if it doesn't turn out nice? Are you going to wear turtle necks forever?

It's up to you, but I remeber a stand up comedian joke about all the girls that were getting sexy stuff tattooed right above their behinds, then wear those low riding pants. He was specifically making fun of a girl he saw with the word juicey on her low, lower back. He wondered how much further the juicey would travel down as she aged and how appropriate it would be when she gets bathed at the retirement home. Anyhoo, I have 3 tattoos, all on my arms, and am getting ready to go for #4. At least your neck won't get flabbily lower! Good luck!

Is you a newborn fool?
Don't get a tattoo on your neck. I wouldn't hire you. Imagine how it'll look when your neck gets all saggy and droopy.
You'll be in the old folk home looking like you have bruises on your neck.
Or your grandkids will think Grandpa gummed a hickey on ya.

id think about the person doing it for $20 i personally wouldnt get a home made tatt but thats your choice. if your willing to live with that on your neck then go ahead. i would rather put it somewhere else b.c i wouldnt want that there when i get old and wrinkly but its your decision so think about it good

I think that if you are really serious, you should go to a
professional, not some scratcher in his kitchen. It's not
going to be nice looking.
The ideas are great........spend a little more and get it done
right.................and make sure that the pentagram has the point at the top not the bottom.

I personally made sure to not get any of my tats in places where they were always visible....but I think that sounds fine. The ankle idea is cute also

I think it would be stupid to be 50 years old with crazykay on your wrinkled neck but that's only me. The ankle, o.k.

the neck could limit you when you grow up and need to work for living, most professionals do not have neck tattoos

Picture yourself an old old old old old old old lady, with wrinkly skin, and white hair, with grandma clothes on, saggy arms, slippers, and baking cookies while your grandkids ask you why your neck says CrazyKay on it. Its just NOT right....
besides, $20 is too good to be true. You'll probably get infected or something.
