definitely a drumset!
an ipod is so common. and the experience you'll get from it is also limited, too confining for your creative ideas.
head for the unusual experience. go for something few people dares. get the drumset!
whatever you decide on, always get something that excites you more.

hmm...this is tough
well software for the iPod is easy to find...there are many free programs n everything thats not a problem
and a drumset would be nice since u say u want a music career and macs do have the Garageband program...
i say go with the drums because there are better ways to watch movies...especially if u have a Macbook. but if not u dont really need movies on the go. Go with the drums and have some fun and get somethin accomplished out of it by gettin a career started!

There is a LOT you can do with an iPod. It is something that you might use every day, Mac or no Mac. Odds are the drumset will be sitting in your room gathering dust in a year. So I would go with the iPod.

Get a 30 GB iPod...it seems more beneficial to you. The drum has the inconvience of your room being too small and the iPod will most likely be used quite often and can cure boredom when you're out of the house.

the nano is smaller and, as you noted, very attractive. it is likewise flash based, which will make it slightly greater sturdy as there is not any hard rigidity to placed on out (no shifting factors). in spite of the incontrovertible fact that, purely as interior the older ipod mini, you pay so a lot greater $ according to gb; even however the video function isn't all that functional, you will spend much less time futzing which includes your library (handbook updates, and so on) with the better potential of the 30 gig. How massive is your library?... because better 24 gig is ineffective in case you dont want it. I even have 60gb video, yet i gotta inform you- the belief of "donning around your dvd library" and connecting it to a greater demonstrate screen is crap, specifically as a results of fact the low res ipod video format appears like crap while considered on a "widespread" length demonstrate. p.s there's a 6gb nano interior the works, if no longer already on the industry; it particularly relies upon on what you desire to do with it, and for the funds i think of the 30gb video is a greater advantageous fee (even however better and heavier).

I would go with the iPod. I have one, and I use it a lot more than I do anything else (other than my Mac). Plus, if you have garage band on your computer, you can make the beats on your computer without an expensive drumset.

If you're serious about starting your career as a musician, definitely go for the drum set.
iPods are really fun, but it will only distract you if you don't start moving towards the future now.
