How are you suppose to follow advertized diet and/or food programs with food allergies, and acheive any results?

I am allergic to wheat, soy and all milk products, and the recommended "sample diets", include these foods. I have tried to alter the "sample diets" to accomodate my allergies, with no luck, any suggestions? I am active, so that isn't an issue.

If you're looking for a diet that will let you achieve consistent weight loss check out the magnetic diet.
You can read the whole book online, free of charge at:

Since every body is different, everyone will respond differently to those cookie-cutter "diets". One person may find great success on the South Beach and another on Atkins. But if they were to flip-flop, it could be a disaster.
I rarely pay attention to those things. Customize your own diet based on what you can and cannot eat. I'm a vegetarian and pretty much none of those diets will ever fit my eating habits. Just do some research at the library or on the internet and see what types of foods are good for you and your particular situation.
You might want to see your doctor and ask them to reccommend a nutritionist.
Good luck!

Use vitamins and supplements to make up for what you're missing in your diet. As far as dieting, you don't need food programs. Just eat low calorie, healthy meals, 4-5 times daily, small portions. It's that simple. When you get down to it, that's all these diets have you do, they just market it in a different manner.

You should definately look for a nutritionist for help. Or, just screw those fad diets. They don't work anyways. Make sure you are eating fruits and vegetables, along with protein and whole wheats. Limit your intake of sweets. Don't go for "fat free" or "sugar free" either. Read the labels, and analyze the amount of fat, carbs and calories in the product (low cal, low fat, but high fiber are great).
