An ohm is the electrical resistance offered by a current-carrying element that produces a voltage drop of one volt when a current of one ampere is flowing through it. Named after .Georg Simon Ohm (March 16, 1789 - July 6, 1854) the German physicist.

Ohms is a unit that measures the amount of resistance some object has. Resistance is basically how much friction electrons will encounter as they try to move through the material.

consider you have a constant force ( voltage ) and you want to move som boxes on the floor ( electrones ) depending on how rough the floor is (resistance and ohms ) your speed is determined
so when R (your resistor) increases, your speed ( I , your current) decreases
=>
V=I.R
[v]=[A][Ω]=[C][Ω]/[T]
have fun ;)
