I am sad to see that some of you would bash him on this post! That's not why I posted it! It is a Happy day for Jeff and Ingrid and all of his Nasacar Fans!!

shaggy105: Jeff has said that she will be at every race. From my understanding they have hired a nanny to tag along. He was on the radio talking yesterday! Also, racing is his career (JOB!!) that's how he supports his family. In a perfect world everyone could be w/ their children everyday!!

Aww, I'm so jealous. I still have until November until my new arrival gets here.
Congrats to both Jeff and Ingrid, today is truly a special day. I know they were so excited about becoming parents. I wish them both the best of luck.

In deed Ella Sofia is cute and she is very lucky to have parents that love her and will love her unconditionally, at the same time any parent would be proud whether or not they are rich, and we know that money is no object to Ingrid and Jeff. It will be interesting to see how she turns out, If she does become a race car driver like her dad I will definately root for her. If I understand right Jeff and Ingrid have considered what school she will be going to when she is old enough to do so. But I guess we will see, and I am sure it will be in the news as usual. Jeff and Ingrid look like such a happy couple and you can tell they are in love and that they have so much love for each other. They are certainly one big happy family.

To the woman who said her husband took the month off, well McDonalds doesn't count as a real job and obligation that deals with millions of dollars!!!!! Scooby and shaggy just want a chance for someone else to win at the road course this weekend, and I'm going to say I think Jeff will make a point on dominating this race..

This is good news that Jeffs wife had their child today and that both mother and daughter are healthy and doing well.
As far as Jeff taking the rest of the year off, I am sure that Jeff will be spending a lot of time with his wife and daughter. I am sure his sponsors will give him some time. He pretty much has Monday though Thursday to be with his family.

I am not at all a Gordon fan but I still think this is Great for him. He should have a wonderful motivation to win this years championship. Even though Gordon won't be there very often, he will still be a wonderful daddy!!!!

Congrats to them, although I'm no fan of him, it's nice to hear that everything went smoothly.
Two famous athletes' wives give birth to daughters in the same week? Pretty cool!(other athlete is Tiger Woods, his wife gave birth on Monday). So now Gordon doesn't have to miss a race, and Woods doesn't have to miss a tournament
