Do you feel as though Global warming is an the effort of money hungry people who want to convince the world to buy their books and watch their films?

I truly believe that global warming is a huge problem. I mean look at Greenland, more than half of it has melted, thousands of polar bears are dieing each year because they can't find Icebergs to rest on, I think more people really need to become aware of this crisis. Many people are just saying "ya ya, it's nothing", but what do you think is causing all of the hurricanes in Florida and New Orleans (raised temperature of the ocean water, caused by global warming).

There is no such thing as Global Warming. It's simply something the rich people of the world are using as a foundation to get even richer. There is no evidence of it and no scientist in the world can prove it. Earth's climate goes through trends and cycles of warm and cold. The Earth is simply going through a warming trend that is not unlike the one in the 30's. I'm not saying we shouldn't do more to help the air quality by reducing emissions, but we have nothing to fear from the Global warming propaganda. Besides, every geologist and scientist admits that there was an Ice Age correct? Well, if the Earth didn't go through a warming trend and warm up, or "Global Warming" if you want to call it that, then how did the ice melt? There weren't people driving around in cars then, so the Earth just had to warm up naturally, which is what it is doing now. It's all a lie to make money, and people are falling for it left and right. Oh and by the way, there are some of the best and smartest meteorologists in the world that are predicting a, in their words, "small ice age" approaching within the next two decades. So what will all the Global warming advocates say then? That fuel emissions are causing Global freezing? Don't believe the lie.

it is an outright lie, lead by fools and charlatans who hope to scare the American public into destroying our ecomny. I base this on the following facts that any 5th grader can easily check out if they really want to know the truth, instead of being lead by the nose like a complete fool.
1. The alarmist claim that burning fossil fuels is the cause of recent warming, however most of the warming took place before most of the increase of CO2. There was actually a significant cooling period from the mid-1940s to the late 1970s, while CO2 was increasing rapidly, and there was another increase from 1979 to 1998. In fact there has been no warming since 1998 – an eight-year period, and even a slight statistically cooling, despite the fact that CO2 has continued to rise.
2. The correlation between co2 emissions effecting global warming is extremely small compared to the correlation between global temperature and sun cycles. The sun cycles affect temperature in two ways first by the cycling up and down of actual heat energy that is emitted by the sun. This has a small effect on global temperature. The more important one is cycling in solar winds. Solar wind blocks cosmic radiation from coming into the Earth’s atmosphere. The more cosmic rays come in the more low level clouds there are and low-level clouds reflect solar heat energy back into space. If there are more clouds the earth is cooler and if there are fewer clouds, the earth is warmer. As solar wind cycles up cosmic rays cycle up and down in reverse and clouds up and down. So the solar window is very important to earth’s temperature, and neither you nor I have any control over these.

Global warming is a theory which means it has not been proven. When the temperatures rise it is blamed on global warming. When the temperatures decrease it is blamed on global warming. The book "State of Fear" does a great deal to describe the weaknesses of the theory. I believe it is by Michael Crichton. Back when temperature was first recorded our instruments were not as accurate. Nor was temperature recorded as accurately. They did not record the temperature accurately. So it is not really fair to compare the temperatures of this year to yester years since our technology is so much better today.
We have already gone threw at least one ice age that I know of. There was no kind of pollution back then. Our world has changed several times over the years. We use to only have one super continent call Pangea. Did it break up because of Global Warming. No. There was no pollution back then. Pollar Ice caps melting proves nothing. That is why Global warming is still a theory. That movie the inconvenient truth came out and it still a theory.
You should google search "Global Warming is not true" and that book I mentioned "A state of fear" by Micheal Crichton.

The real problem is global cooling. Solar scientists predict that, by 2020, the sun will be starting into its weakest Schwabe solar cycle of the past two centuries, likely leading to unusually cool conditions on Earth.

Beginning to plan for adaptation to such a cool period, one which may continue well beyond one 11-year cycle, as did the Little Ice Age, should be a priority for governments. It is global cooling, not warming, that is the major climate threat to the world, especially Canada. As a country at the northern limit to agriculture in the world, it would take very little cooling to destroy Canadian food crops.

The real name of the phenomenon is Climate change... Global warming is only the first phase of a natural earth cycle.
Which mean that WE CAN'T DO anything to stop the current process, anyways if we could it would have been already to late to act.
What the media are trying to do, I can't tell but its kind of stranges that the world is beginning to focus on this, and the fact that WE are responsible for it. Many scientists think that this is garbage, but still some thinks that they are onto something... Anyways, since the current warming trend will occur for at least 50 years, nobody would have time to say that we were wrong, as most of us will be dead then...

I do believe that this is a growing issue, it's not really a matter of books or films, because that's where you get your facts from. And if books and movies did not give you a correct idea of what is going on, that means that you should question everything you were taught. But then again, questioning global warming means that the world is starting to respond to the brain washing polititianss and the media are inflicing upon us.
Research it, gather facts, but don't listen to what everybody is telling you.
Hope I helped!

Assuming that the world is heating up... climate change has been occuring since long before the industrial age, the ice ages ended long before humankind had a significant impact on the world. And more importantly, it is hard to know which climate is best for all people in the world. Considering all possibilities... perhaps global warming is a good thing.

So those who perpetuate the global warming hype are likely extremely narrow-minded, black and white people... who automatically assume change is dangerous. To some people... it is simply another excuse for them to tell you what to do and how to live your life... a way they can look down thier noses at you. To others.... creating fear is a way for them to profit.

edited to add: others want to use the fear of global warming to bolster thier case against pollution. A case which is unecessary, because I am both against pollution and also do not believe that global warming is necessarily the end of the world.

Global warming has been with us far longer than anyone has been making movies and writing books about it. It was back in the 1980's that it became a political issue when the UK government under Margaret Thatcher first paid attention to the warnings that scientists had been sounding for decades.

It was in 1992 that the leaders of the world came together at the Earth Summit in Rio to finally address the issue. Both long before Al Gore and his movie and book.

The science and evidence of global warming extends much, much further back than the politics - right back to 1896 when global warming was scientifically established and explained.

Undoubtedly there are some people who will use this as an opportunity to make money, can you think of anything where this doesn't happen? Ultimately whether people are cashing in on global warming or not, it doesn't alter that fact that it's a reality which has been known about for a very long time and which has very serious implications if we don't act now.

We have global warming, but I would argue that it's NOT a problem. Reason being is that the earth has gone through warming/cooling cycles for millions of years, and will continue to do so. If a particular species (like man) can't adapt, so be it ... the EARTH will survive.

if you understand the science travel across the world and see the effects you wouldn't have any doubt about global warming and how rapidly its hitting but don't worry about the earth it just follows cycles it will make the ocean rise kill of most of the people then with massive amounts of ocean there will be global cooling and the earth will regenerate and those who survive will re populate just the way nature works in the animal kingdom
