not really sounds like maybe she is eating because she is bored. discuss it with her parents and see what they have to say. if they were boys I would say yes but usually the opposite is true for girls. I used to baby sit for a police officer that had 5 daughters (talk about a long night) it was like pulling teeth to get them to eat. if her parents think its appropriate to feed her everytime she asks for food then do as they wish. If not, feed her a normal amount/portion and then if that isnt enough and she asks for more ask her to wait and hour then offer her some fruit or something low-fat healthy such as jello, pudding, yogurt, celery, pickles, etc.

Not a stupid question as I asked my pediatrician the same thing! My 6 y/o daughter is always hungry, even after lunch. She's also put on about 2 inches in height over the last few months, so it's not surprising. I've found the best way to deal with my daughter's hunger is to provide more frequent, smaller meals and snacks. While DD wants to have nothing but fruit snacks and yogos (and who wouldn't?) I keep fruit, veggies, crackers and yogurt on hand and within easy reach for her. Don't get me wrong, she gets the fruit snacks, but a limited amount.

I found that same thing in my daughter. She still does that. She keeps asking for snacks even after she has eaten a full meal. I make sure I fill her tummy with vegetables and fruit even if she is not crazy about the meat or bread I prepared. She knows that she can have fruit, vegetables, and cereal as a snack any time. There are times she wants popsicles and ice-cream for snacks and that is fine. I just limit them.
At the same time I keep her very active which keeps me very active. Try to encourage her to eat the right things and to play a bunch so that she works off all that she is eating.

I have a 6 yr old daughter, and she is only 45 lbs and eats a lot, she wil eat breakfast at home and then go to her breakfats program at school and eat more...she is really tall and skinny and for now i wouldnt worry about her getting fat; after all as long ad they are active they burn it off anyways...if there starts to be a problem with her gaining weight then i would say slow her down slowly so her body can adjust...however like adults different people can eat different amounts depending on their metabolism...And if you really would like to know for this specific child just ask her parent(s) what they think and/or prefer..hope that helps!!!

Yes it's normal. She could be going through a growth spur. When they do they have a tendency to be more hungry and when they slow down they might hardly eat anything. So don't worry unless she is not active, in that case just give her healthy snacks like fruit or veggies.

My daughter is the same way. It seems like 5 mins after she eats she is like "oh can I have a something to eat" or I will see her in the fridge. I think mainly it is boredness. Try getting her to do something else and keep her mind off of wanting to eat. Otherwise when she gets older she might be a "bored" eater and will gain weight.

Yes, but just make sure its a healthy snack like veggies and fruits, and not junk like chocolate or soda.
Otherwise she can start getting weight.
