I just got a kitten three days ago and he already coming out of my bed to play, but it is only while me and my husband are around. My brother has 12 years old and he thinks the kitten doesn’t like him because it hides once he shows up to our room what can I do to help the kitten like my brother?? My brother tries to play with him but the kitten doesn’t pay attention to him and ignore him completely under the bed. I feel really and I wish the kitten played with my brother please give me suggestions.

Give your kitten time to adjust to the family. It will take even an adult cat a week or so to feel confident in a new home.
Your kitty feels safe in your room and is used to you. But your brother might be a little loud for him (he even has a louder voice), or too rambunctious for him right now.

It might be best for your brother to leave the kitty alone for a couple of weeks. Then your brother could very quietly come to your room, and talk to the kitten almost at a whisper level - that way he would know he wasn't being too loud.
The kitten could also just have a naturally skittish personality, and will always be shy like this.

It takes kittens time to get used to everyone; as he;s only been there a few days his self. He will warm up to your brother but it might take a couple weeks. Let your brother put the food down and call the kitty for his food ; and have your brother call the kittens name a few times a day so kitty will get used to him also.Soon the kitten will be coming to you and your brother to get his daily pets,, my cats were shy of my son also and my 6ys son was really sad. It;s now been 3 ys and the cat follows him like a cat and always wants to sit on his lap, He even stands up and puts my sons hand on her to pet her as she;s quite lovey dovey,,, good luck to all and kitty will come out of his shell soon; give him time..... Ask your little brother to be extra gentle and quiet around the kitten. Explain to him why by telling him this is a delicate baby who has just left his mother. Show your little brother how to brush him gently and how to play with him appropriately with a ribbon. Teach him the proper way to hold the kitten so the kitten feels secure. Have your little brother feed him. Do not force the kitten to approach your brother. As the kitten learns your brother means food, and is gentle and fun, they will love each other. That's what I did with my grandson and our cats.

Aww!

Your brother shouldn't take it personally: A lot of cats hide when they see someone they don't recognize as 'family', and you've had this little one only 3 days. He's doing well to come out for you.

Tell your brother to be patient: The kitten will get used to him.

kittens are naturally nervous. 12 year old boys are naturally loud. it will take some time, but the kitten wil get used to him eventually. just make sure he is quiet & calm when trying to pet the cat & he will come around in time.

Sometimes cats just take time to warm up to people like kids. Catnip and treats some times help. At first our cat would't go near our toddler but after we showed him how to play with his stick(with has stringy fabric hanging from it) the cat doesnt leave him alone now.

Kittens don't like children. Tell your brother to come back to visit you in 6 years and he will like him then.
