I find that a bath may help to a certain extent but sitting with them wrapped in a towel and either using tweezers or a flea comb to get them out of the fur and drop the fleas into a bowl of water with dish soap in it. They drowned instantly.

Frontline Plus is safe for kittens and will get rid of the flea problems.

Revolution is also safe for even very young kittens. It will eliminate the fleas too.

It's great that the shampoo worked! I wish I had known of that when I first brought my latest pair home: The poor things were positively infested!

You'll want to treat your home for fleas too, to make sure your babies don't get fleas again. Close them in a flea-free room, such as the bathroom. Then sprinkle your carpet and furniture with borax and vacuum it up again after about 20 minutes. Don't forget to move stuff, and to wash your bedding and drapes.

Good luck!

Fleas can be deadly to kittens. Have you taken these kittens to the vet? You shouldn't use just any soap or shampoo on them. These are babies!! They are delicate. You can't use just any flea treatment for these babies either. The vet can treat them or recommend something that won't harm the cats.

I am afraid the kittens probably have ear mites and worms as well. This is not a good start for kittens. If your intentions are to keep these kittens as your own pets, you need to start worrying about their health right away and get them off to a good start. If you plan to find homes for them, no one will want them with health problems.

If you cannot afford treatment for them, please give them to a rescue group that will take the proper care of them.

dawn and a flea comb. you actually have to soak the cat in the tub. the idea is to drown the fleas. i had to do that with mine. combed him (still do) once a week with a flea comb. a flea collar has also helped. anything the cats sleep on wash in hot water and borax. sprinkle borax on carpets and rub in with a broom. then vaccuum it up about 8 hours later.

Use Pert Shampoo, that really gets rid of the fleas and be sure put flea powder in the vaccum bag to get the ones out of the carpet and furniture/
