Think you require to be more specific and then I am sure you will get loads of ideas. I live in Scotland and have a daughter being married in just over 3 weeks. Her reception is in the venue where the famous Scottish poet Robert Burns was born. We are therefore having the table names in place he has wrote about ie Brig o'Kiliecrankie etc. Tell us your theme and I am sure many of us on Yahoo wil help.

You could pick a hobby or interest that you and your fiance share and name your tables accordingly. For example, my husband and I were going to name our tables after our favorite plays. We also thought about naming them after our favorite roller coaster rides, or rides at Busch Gardens (we almost got married in Willamsburg). You could also revolve the names around your wedding theme. For example, if you are getting married in the fall, name the tables after types of leaves (oak, maple, etc). You could also take the city you are getting married in, or a favorite city to visit, and name the tables after attractions or monuments there, (ex.- for DC, the White House, Jefferson Memorial, Lincoln Memorial, etc). You could name them after cities you have visited or would like to visit (London, Paris, etc.). Another cute idea is naming them after famous couples, (ex.- Lucy and Ricky, Mickey and Minnie, etc.) Some people think that naming the tables gives the people who are sitting at the tables a good ice breaker if they don't know each other, so it might be a good idea to name them. I have to say, we didn't name ours after all of the thought we put in it (we ran out of time- we made all the place cards and table numbers ourselves), but I always thought it was a fun idea!
Hope this helps!

It would depend on the flowers and the colour theme that you are using for your wedding.
I bought pink table covers and then some beutiful (fake) flowers with silk ribbon bouquets as centre pieces on tables (they were quite cheap too) and then - may sounds corny - but i put the heaarts from the haribo starmix around them with love hearts and then had the cake as at the centre table with rose petals around it. but that was me!!!!

It would be ideal to tie these in with the theme of your wedding. For example, if it's a beach wedding, you could use local beach names, or things you'd find at the beach, such as "sand" or "driftwood". If your theme is Lucky In Love, you could use the names of good luck charms, such as "horseshoe" or "shooting star".
I also like the idea of using words from the ceremony, such as "love", "honor" and "cherish".

You wouldnt have asked the question if you had something more specific in mind. But how about a diamond theme sounds expensive but really you can do a lot of bling bling for quite resonable.

Try and keep to pastel colours like light pinks and blues, and also make everything look intrucitly made and expensive!
And enjoy your day, you should only have to do it once!
