(T)errorists invest a great deal of time and effort into regularizing their immigration status once in the country. They do so for the obvious reason that once regularized their ability to move about the country as well as in and out of it becomes complete. They can get jobs anywhere, learn skills open to only legal residents, cover their tracks and recruit with greater ease. Only fools can deny the certain presence of these terrorists and their certain ambition to have legal status.

Which is why the draft immigration law's intent to bestow on all illegals in the U.S regardless of country of origin probationary legal status and eventually a Z Visa is simply and obviously insane....

The flaws in the bill (actually there are 20)

Flaw No. 5: The completion of background checks, including checks against criminal and terrorist databases, is “not required for” the granting of amnesty (in this bill, it is referred to as “probationary status”).

Flaw No. 6: Criminals of all kinds – including gang members, some child molesters, and absconders (i.e., “aliens who have already had their day in court and who are now subject to…removal” [covering “more than 636,000 fugitives”) are eligible for the bill’s mass amnesty;

Flaw No. 7: “Illegal aliens with terrorism connections are not barred from getting amnesty. An illegal alien seeking most immigration benefits must merely show ‘good moral character.’”

Although a terrorist threat is very real, our morbid fear and obsession with the possibility is getting out proportions. Bush, in his relentless effort to justify the fiasco in Iraq has over played with our psych to a point where we are becoming paranoia.
Whereas there is a possibility of being infiltrated by terrorists through immigration we can only close this possibility by sealing all our borders and making America a no entry zone to all foreigners. Then we would be living in our own prison.
I believe most illegal immigrants are here for one reason: to better their lives. The safety, security and prosperity of US guarantees this endeavor and they would never do anything to negate this. As a matter of fact, most immigrants love America and American people. I wish we could be realistic and stop the hate campaign.
The likelihood of catching a nascent terrorist would be enhanced by making sure that all immigrants are properly documented, and the first step towards this would be to document the load we already have in our backyard.

Well since the bill offers a z visa to violent gang members as long as they sign off that they promise ( with their fingers crossed ) never to do bad things no more. Not hard for a terrorist group to work with gangs who now have legit visas.
