He asked when i could start, as well as my salary expectations. He kept saying goog, good about my resume and at the end he said, " i think we can work with you, i have a couple more resumes but i think we can work with you" He then shook my hand and said " looking forward to working with you" I need to know what is the chance that i got the job. I was quite confident coming out of it, but now i'm second guessing myself. Any one think i got it???/

Honestly, there's no way to tell from the interview. Some interviewers are, by nature, very positive people and you'll leave with a smile on your face and a good feeling about your chances of getting the job. Others are very grumpy, boring, and poker faced and you'll leave thinking you just blew that opportunity.

I've left interviews thinking "Wow, that went awesome. Best interview of my life." and never heard a word from them. I've left interviews thinking "Wow, that sucked" and gotten a job offer later that same day.

I have had this happen a couple of times, at the end of the interview they say "i have a few more people to interview first" then they leave you hanging till they call and instead of saying "you're hired!" they say "come in and fill out your w-2's"
when i have gone in i have said "so i am hired then?" makes you feel like a real idiot!!!

Think you have a good shot at it unless one of the others that still have to interview really wows them. At this point I would give it an 85% that yes you will be receiving a call in a day or two.

You should be calling them within a weeks time if you have not heard from them and inquiring about the outcome of the interview. It is always considered to be a positive for you to express continued interest in the job.

Good luck.

It sounds like you had it but maybe he found someone that was a little more qualified. If he hired you on the spot he would've said "Can you start this coming Monday at 9?"

Sounds real positive - how long has it been? If it's been over a week, you could call and ask them if they know when they'll have a decision.

Good luck.
