I just got married two months ago and my husband gave me a bracelet. I wore it down the aisle. I think jewelry that can be passed down is perfect!
On a funny note: I had been complaining about needing a new car stereo. My husband, trying to be thoughtful, thought he would get that for me. Thanfully, he ran it by my dad first and he totally nixed the idea...lol. All I got to say is, no eletronics or something perishable!

They say give her something to wear on her wedding day. THis is good, but what I did was more from the heart. First I got her a desinger purse, something girly that she can use and remember me when she does use it. Then I got her a game online. Its called Lovopoly. You get to name the properties and add pictures so it really is an awesome gift. Don't just buy the board, spring for the whole game. A friend got the board and it looks kinda tacky, but when you get everything with it it looks a lot better. (60 bucks)

I think you should get her a past, present and future diamond necklace, to signify every great moment you've both been through, the moment you both will wed and become one and to celebrate all the great things that the future has in-store for you both!
if you're not sure about the necklace I'm referring look at this site for an idea!

Something she will love and use other than just the wedding day.
I don't understand wedding gifts like engraved cufflinks for the guys. What's the point?

Something she absolutely loves! Think about her favorite pastime or hobby and multiply that tenfold, the most spectacular thing you can afford and you know she would love to have/do/see.
For instance, don't tell my betrothed but I plan on giving him fireworks for a wedding gift! He loves watching fireworks so I am having a pyrotechnic company do a fireworks display at our reception just for him. In addition I made sure we hired a photographer who can shoot fireworks just so he can have photographs for the picture album I'm making him of our lives together. It goes from the first picture of the two of us to the fireworks right before the honeymoon ; )

My husband wrote me a beautiful poem that brought me to tears the morning of my wedding. That night he gave me a "Kim Anderson" statue of the boy and girl getting married with a beautiful card.
It's a nice idea if she's not expecting jewerly. Good Luck and Congrats!!!

I am very close to my mom, and wouldn't have a problem asking her to do it. She came with me to choose my wedding night lingerie! However, I think i'd rather hire a stranger to do it, because I'd be able to "ham it up" a little more for the camera if my mom wasn't behind it. It might be hard to give the appropriate "come hither" look to the camera if its being held by my mom. (nobody has to know who took the pictures. this isn't something the whole family would discuss over thanksgiving dinner or anything.)

i dont know. something that is special to them. i saw recently on a wedding show a woman gave her fiancee cufflinks that opened up like lockets and in each one had one of his 2 brothers that had past away photos. that was a very sentimental gift and i think it should be something special

Something nice to wear with her dress on the wedding day. A bracelet, dainty necklace, or something else to "hand-down" one day.
Ask her mom or sisters to help you with EXACTLY the right thing. They will love that!
Good luck.

My gift was a simple pair of pearl and diamond earrings that my husband gave me the night before our wedding. I wore them on that day and hope my daughter will wear them when she gets married.
