Nonsense in the sense of someone having to go on yahoo answers to try to be right? Or nonsense in the thumbs down?

I'd think if a person has issues with my first question, they have serious issues in life.

Get over being "right." Share what you know and move on.

Matt (Someone who has no clue if I never gave you thumbs up or thumbs down. I always look at the response and decide from there.)

I've seen it before.

And actually Chippy, we just usually try to ignore the garbage people post by giving it a thumbs down. It either means we don't agree with you, or you're just an idiot. We usually don't bother answering the idiots, but I'll make an exception in your case. ;-)

All the thumbs up must prove the rest of us wrong, then...

Tell them; sometimes thumbs down mean exactly that :)

Thumbs down simply means that people disagree. Not that there is a right answer versus wrong one.Anyone who thinks that thumbs up or thumbs down is an indication of who is right and who is wrong seriously needs a chill pill.

Several thumbs down prove a person has given a good answer that might hurt people with fear of the truth

I think there's a passage of the bible which basically says "not everyone will agree with you". So christians take people disagreeing as proof they are right.

Since thumbs down is the most common form of disagreeing, lots of thumbs down = lots of people disagreeing = lots of so called proof they're correct.

sorry, I have no idea what you're talking about.. is someone saying that if they get a bunch of thumbs down, that makes them right or are you getting a bunch of thumbs down and you're saying it proves you right? I'm unclear on this.

Edit: roflmao, you're kidding.. I haven't seen that yet, but I bet school is out for summer.. that's something a kid would say.

It means this:

All the thumbs down prove that a person is right-WINGED.

Here's my favorite bit of recent R&S wisdom: certain theists claiming that if you make your Q&As private, you're ashamed of them. This, in spite of the fact that atheists' accounts are deleted daily due to malicious reporting.
