Hello There,

For all those who had, have or know someone with an Altima please tell me about the car.
Is it an amazing car or not ? after 100K miles, how does the engine feel like ? still powerful with a sexy rumbling noise or no ?
Spare parts, handling in curves, handling on wet surface, etc...

I'm really looking forward to hear from you guys.

Very greatful in advance.

I know you are very interested in how the car handles after 100k miles. I have a 2006 that I bought a few months ago, no mileage on it. It's awesome! I have no complaints about this car at all ~ handles fantastic, way better than even my firebird. I did take an older altima for a test drive before i decided to buy a new one. This one was over 100k miles and the engine was not as powerful as my new car, although it did still have that cool sound. It also handled great, too, not sure how that one would be on wet surfaces. My new one is like a dream on wet surfaces. My brother sells these cars and he said they are solid and dependable, except maybe for a few lemons or ones that have not been taken care of. Good luck!

I have a 1993 Altima and a 2005 Maxima. Love them both!

The altima has 170,000 miles on it and is still very reliable. Yes it does make some noise but I think for a 14 year old car that's pretty good. Plus, I'm not one that takes car of cars...bc I have no clue how to change anything...and it's still fine. My brother is a mechanic though and does maintain it for me whenever he can.

I currently have a 2005 Altima and absoulutely love it. It only has 60k miles but still runs and handles great. The one thing that I really like is the ability to customize and make it look any way you want and feel. No problems as of yet.

I have a 1997 with 187,000 on it running strong. My brother has a 2005 with (I think) about 45,000 on it. We both love 'em and have had few problems.

Nissan powertrains are almost indestructible. I've seen old Maximas and Altimas with over 300,000 on them.

The first post doesn't know what he's talking about. Altima has gotten great JD Power ratings and it is the tops in its class in Consumer Reports, tied with accord and way ahead of the senior citizen special Camry.

Nissan, Subaru, and Mitsubishi all produce cars of average or below average quality(JD Power Surveys).

I don't drive a Japanese car, but if I were to purchase one, it would be a Toyota, or Honda. Bulletproof, and good resale value.

Fancy taillights, and gimmicks to move a product don't translate into value DOWN the road.

I think that the Altima is a good and beautiful car.

JD Power gets many responses for the first 90 days. I don't really trust there long term data and feel that there is a certain bias in their scoring.

Its a really nice car. Very up to date and runs well. All of the features like air conditioning and heating tend to activate very quickly. Its great new but also very nice preowned, overall just a wonderfull car, its obviously made very well.
