i think we can all be friends....
i have some atheists in my contacts because I love reading their questions and answers. I don't see a reason why we shouldn't be able to all get along. EXCEPT for the fact that some people get all crazy over religion and start wars, call people names, and go crazy....
not that I would do any of those things.....

I'm Christian and I can be friends with Atheists. Religion to me is a personal thing...not a hobby. I don't feel the need to get everyone I know involved.

I think Christians and Atheist interact and get along more then we know. At work you rarely no anybody’s religion unless they make it known. I don’t think its Christians not liking Atheist and or vise versa, but when the discussion comes about everybody has there own opinion and belief or lack of belief rather.

No problem with sects if you're mature about it, it's one of the benefits of a really good friendship.

I'm not sure what you mean by "sects involved" - but, of course, if they are grown up and mature individuals who don't believe that their ideas should be the law of the land.

I'm a Atheist and I don't belong to any "sects" and I have lots of different friends of various beliefs. The only condition I place on my friends is that they have to be able to laugh at themselves once in awhile.

Sure,Atheists of good will and Christians of good will can be friends. Insecure fanatics or sneering insulters cannot really be friends to people who sincerely disagree with them.

Yes, why not? All my friends in school are athiests...I'm the only Christian out of all of them. My religion is personal to me, and we never talk about religion together really. They respect me and I respect them.
Oh, hang on.....was the question supposed to be a joke? Sorry, I'm terrible with jokes, it takes me forever to get the punchline.

Most of my friends are Atheists. I respect them enough to not bring up my religious beliefs - well - because they don't wanna hear it. They, in turn, don't bash what I believe. It works out great.
