neither, religion is wrong, atheism is right, think about it, research both carefully. look at the history of the bible and Torah, both are full of hypocrisy violence rape and selling people into slavery and this is ok? theists will try to rationalise things, study science and philosophy and i would use that to arive at an educated answer

Which ever religion suits you best. You also have the choice of a different Religion, or no religion at all. If you are confused, go to many different churches and see which one you like the most. Go into it with an open mind, and don't be concerned about hurting others' feelings. They should understand and respect your choice. God Bless!

I would advise asking your mom and dad thoroughly about both religions. Look it up on the Web; find out as much as you can about both. No, that's bad advice: find out as much as you can about any and all religions you want to consider. Once you've decided, go to your parents and ask them to please just listen. Make your case for the religion you chose, and tell them that you chose it because that is what you choose to believe, not because you love one of them more than the other.

I hope this helps, and good luck! It sounds like a very tricky situation you're in.

That's the logical fallacy known as a false choice.

You should pick neither.

Don't live your life according to ancient superstitions. Read The God Delusion, understand religion, and be freed from it forever.

If a god tortures forever all those who won't worship him, that makes him a terrorist - it's a good thing gods don't really exist, isn't it?

Nobody can prove any gods, much less a specific god, exist; many people will tell you their god exists but no others, but will never be able to prove it, even if they think so. Some will threaten you with eternal pain or promise eternal joy to get you to believe in their god; these are all stories, created for people who were scared long before we understood the universe. Now we have no more reason for these superstitions.

According to Judaism, if your mother is not Jewish, then neither are you.
So there is really no way for you to insult your parents. You can choose to be a catholic without offending your father.
Just explain to him that you are not Jewish, and that you do not choose to convert to Judaism.

First of all religion doesn't have to be genetic and you should explore all religions not merely limit yourself to what your parents are.

And don't underestimate what people call "organized religion." This phrase really does not mean much, it doesn't even make much sense. Isn't all thought organized in some manner?

First advice: Don't listen to the atheists. Never... Ever!!!

Instead, search your feelings. Think about it. Study both religions and don't pay attention to influences, specially the ones of your parents.

You have a hard and important choice to make, so, good luck on that!

Can't you make the decision yourself? We're just a bunch of strangers!

I doubt they'd get mad whatever you picked, though. They married each other, remember.

Why do you need to pick either one. Your parents must accept differences in views on god else the wouldn't have gotten married.

There is no evidence of god, If that is what you think why would your parents have a problem with it. You are still their child.

That's a choice you must make on your own. You should research every bit of info. so that you can make an educated decision on what you believe NOT what they believe.
