dont say add remove program cause norton wont let you finish for some reason!

Start/Control Panel/Add Remove Programs. Locate Norton/Symantec and uninstall it.

Norton programs have an annoying persistence within the registry, however, there is a removal tool put out by symantec that will remove all traces of thier software from your system, you can find a copy of it here http://www.softpedia.com/get/Tweak/Uninstallers/Norton-Removal-Tool.shtml

Go to symantec and get the removal tool. DO NOT USE ADD REMOVE PROGRAMS, you might really regret it.
