That seems to be the only logical explaination to me. This "God" being must twist or manipulate your mind, so that you can be happy while people who used to love are blazing in hellfire forever. How twisted and manipulative is that?

Dear SkepticallySkeptical,

Have you read any of C.S. Lewis' books?
I highly recommend his book The Great Divorce, A Bus Ride from Hell to Heaven - a Oneway trip for Some, a Roundtrip for Others.

I think Lewis comes closer to describing heaven than anybody else I've ever read or talked to.

I've heard it said that for the first 1000 years all we'll say is Ohhhhhhhhhh!!!!! Oh that is why that painful time happened. Oh that is why ....

The twisting and manipulation is only in your mind. God does not want anybody to end up in hell. That is why Jesus left heaven and lived and died the most horrible death. God doesn't send anybody to hell. They send themselves. How tragic that is.

For His glory,
JOYfilled

There is NO HELL!(at least not yet)The Bible clearly states that the dead sleep until The Lord's second coming. Ecclesiastes 9:5-10 says"The living at least know they will die but the dead know nothing...They no longer have a past about anything here on earth. What ever you do, do it well. For when you go to the grave, there will be no work or planning or knowledge or wisdom."
-When Jesus died: "Neither was Jesus forsaken in Hades nor did His Flesh see corruption" Acts 2:31
-Jesus on the cross, "I tell you today you will be with me in paradise" Luke 23:43 Then, when He resurrected: Mary, "Do not hold on to me, for I have not yet returned to The Father" John 20:17
(The thief on the cross did not go to heaven on that day with Jesus for Jesus Himself did not go to heaven) Remember that in Ancient Greek manuscripts they did not use spaces, accents or commas, and in translation the meaning could have been changed
-The true meaning of "spirit"- Breath of life. Job 27:3"All the while my breath is in me, and the spirit of God is in my nostrils"When a person dies, the breath of God,(spark of life) returns to Him.
-Lazarus- John 11:11"Our friend Lazarus has fallen asleep, but now I will wake him up" Martha said: "Yes, when everyone rises on resurrection day"John 11:23-34 Why bring Lazarus down from heaven? Back to earth for more suffering?
-When will the evil receive punishment? "The time is coming when all the dead in their graves will hear the voice of God's son, and they will rise again. Those who have done good will rise to eternal life, and those who have continued in evil will rise to judgment"John5:28-30 RISE TO JUDGMENT? But why would they be in hell already if they were not judged yet?
Immortality of the soul is the first lie told to humans by satan. The Lord said, the soul that sins will die and that is the only truth. What a horrible belief that the dead are being tortured and burned in hell for an eternity. Tormented for sins comitted in such a short life. This belief is not Biblical. What a horrible blasphemy against our Lord; invented by satan to have us think that God is unfair and unjust. GOD IS LOVE, GOD IS MERCIFUL!

The doctrine of eternal torment is a false doctrine. No loving God would do such a thing. The following text says that this awful belief cannot be true...

Revelation 21:4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.

What kind of god are you talking about here, it is not the same god than the God of the Universe, who I serve. He is a loving and patient God , who gives people their whole lifetime chance after chance to accept Him as their Savior. But when people boldly reject Him, they have to pay the consequence.
He is God and gets to make the rules. We are not going to heaven to say "Ha Ha " to those who didn't make it there, but to be with the God of Heaven, who we love, so that we can worship Him for eternity.

. The "factor" or clarification for any given adventure on the planet is human beings doing what they do. we've loose Will. All are completely imperfect. All are unique, make alternatives, are persons, have techniques. life unfolds and exhibits because it does. What one unearths "demanding" yet another unearths to be endearing. What one unearths to be "ridiculous" others discover to be a "fact". as a result...human beings being human beings. I certainly have my very own "ideals" yet am non-denominational. i'm basically religious. nonetheless, all faiths, ideals, and so on. are valued. What the truths are and what the fallacies are . . . it particularly is and could be revealed whilst that's. .

my God does not send people to hell. I make my own hell when I make bad choices. my God gives me the freedom to choose. She is not going to put choices in front of me and then burn me for choosing. my hell is my concience when I do something that hurts someone else

I have heard the excuse that they are gone from your memory. It pretty much sounds like your free will is gone in this candy land but people still buy it.

One reason I could never follow such a god. I choose hell and righteousness over heaven and wickness anyday.

My life's work is to fight diseases and torture and other stupid things. In my afterlife, I'm supposed to CONDONE torture of political dissidents?
