Honestly speaking, you already know the answer. Just as girls are happy if their boyfriends buy them gift for no reason. I would be happy as well. No need for an occassion or anything special to buy a gift for the person you love. It will show that you value the person you love and the relationship you both have. Your boyfriend is a very lucky guy to have you.

I would think it was a nice change of pace. Usually, I'm lucky to get gifts from most girls I date for special occasions. One even grabbed me some silk boxers for my birthday... & stuck them in with the stuff I was buying at the checkout counter! Yes, you read correctly: I ended up paying for my own gift! If I would have known I was going to do that, I would have bought myself something better than 1 lousy pair of silk boxers that tore up in 2 months. So, yeah, I'd love it if I had a girl who bought me gifts for no reason at all.

I think that it would be very sweet. I would appreciate that you spent time and were thinking of me. I like to buy gifts out of the blue for lots of people. You always expect something to happen on your birthday, but out of the blue? Its a very nice gesture, I hope it all works out. Is there more to this question?

I would love her for thinking of me and not being my birthday or special occasion and getting a gift is a great idea.

This is one of those things that we always heard people talk about. It's being refer to as "the little things". I think you are sweet for doing that. And it does feel nice and lovely when my girl buys me something nice for no reason.

I'm not a guy, but screw that if he reads too much into it then that's weird. I get random gifts for my friends, it doesn't mean like i'm proposing to them. Don't read too much into it either, give him the gift, he'll like to know you were thinking about him.

As long as it wasnt very early in the relationship (2 months or less), I would see it as a sweet gesture.
Just dont give too many gifts or have them be too expensive

Before I was married, I would have said "damn now I have to go buy her something"
Change it up a little...wait for him to be in the room by himself, come in the room wearing only the new shirt you bought him, tell him "I bought you a new shirt" "come try it on"

I actually am not the type who likes receiving gifts, but it's *******s like me who spoil such great moments for the 90% remaining guys out there (just kidding about me being a *******, but you got the idea). Go for it! By giving it to him w/o any occasion, it will show you REALLY care about him and seeing that is IMPORTANT for us.
