basically all you can put in with a parakeet is maybe a cocatiel(it may get picked on though) or society finches. No large birds. They will snap ur budgies in half.

You are mixing an African species with an Australian species, and they don't mix.
If you'd rather have an African Grey, then go with that! That would take up enough of your time, and leave you NO time for the parakeet any ways, so just spend your time and money on ONE bird. The grey will live long into your old age anyway, so why not just experience one bird?
Good Luck!

Mixing species is always risky. Even same size birds can cause a blood bath. Even same species can fight. I would never mix a large parrot with a small bird !!!
Besides parrots need large cages with wide bars...keets and other small birds need different cage bar spacing.
I buy the largest cages I can afford and rarely kept more then 2 birds to a cage ( i was given 2 parakeets in one cage).
If you can't afford another cage or a place for it, then don't get more birds.

That's not a good idea. IF you have to get another then get another budgie, same species in 1 cage only.
Any other bird other than a budgie & you can get away with putting similar size only birds in with them. Budgies are much better being with there own kind as they have a reputation for being nasty towards any species other than their own.

The question should be, will an affrican Grey get along with twoo Budgies. It depends on the Birds. Sit the cages side by side and watch to see who tries to eat who. If they seem to get along, you can try it, But you would need a pretty big cage and I personally would not do it. and this applies to other birds. Some get along, some don't I advise :Get another cage.

It really depends upon the bird, but I would never put two non-mating birds in the same cage especially if one is a small bird and one is a large parrot. Make sure that you don't put a lovebird in a cage with any other bird because they will terrorize the other bird. If you have the money for a large parrot, you probably have the money to get separate cages for the two birds. They can play with each other outside of the cage, but don't have them live together in the same cage.

Budgies shouldn't be kept with those godzilla parrots. They could be killed by the grey. Although they shouldn't be kept in the same cage, my parrotlet and my budgies get along nicley when they meet up out of the cage. Greys could be kept witth other greys and amozons.
