I assume you trust him? Show him how you trust him and ask that he give you the same treatment. If nothing else, constantly remind him that you are not his mother or grandmother and not to hold their mistakes against you. If it continues, he might need therapy or some counseling to clear up his unresolved trust issues.

It depends on the root of the issue, if you know what it was that set this lack of trust in him (toward mom and grandma) then by showing that you are not like that should go far in easing the tension he feels toward you.

SHOW HIM, Words can come from anybody. They flo so easily from the mouth, and sometimes people say what they want u to hear. Words can lie. Actions dont. Show him that way he can see for himself. Dont put him in the position to believe you by convincing him with words, show him with what u do and how u handle situations that way he can be reassured

blind fold him 15 minutes before you get to your destination and walk him around with out letting him catch a peek. reassure him with playful teasing (if intimate) and talk to him as much as possible so that he can follow your voice....other wise he might lose more trust in females if he trips on something....work the blind folding into a great night of sex.
this isn't from a sex book or a relationship book so i don't know if it could work for a lot of people. just know it worked on me!

That kind of thing takes time, he is going to have to see it for himself like the old saying goes "actions speak louder then words". So if you like him just stick around, be yourself and if you are righteous as you feel you are he will see it and start to trust you.

Time will take care of the problem...once he realizes that you are trustworthy, he will begin to trust you. If you are consistent, it should solve the problem in relation to you.
