Dear its not a religion you should be concerned with....Its your faith in God.
God does not see a denomination. But he looks at the heart. So if you are Catholic, or Lutheran, or Methodist or Assemblies of God, it doesnt matter, as long as you heart is in the right place.
God bless you.

I don't believe every religion has the same God or the same Jesus.
For example the Christian God, according to the Bible:
1. Has always existed.
2. Is not a man.
3. Has an only begotten Son.
The Momon Church teaches that:
1. God was once a man on the planet Kolob. So he had a beginning.
2. While living on Kolob he had more then one wife.
3. Jesus isn't his only begotten son, but rather Jesus and Satan are brothers.
Therefore the Mormon god and the Christian God are not the same.
The links below will help you see the truth about the Christian God as described in the Bible vs. the view of god by various other religious groups.
The All About God link will answer your question about the Christian God and about Jesus.
The Walter Martin link compares the teaching of Christianity vs. some of the better known false cults.

Please don't get baptized if you aren't sure which path you are following. Or, if you feel you must be baptized to be welcomed into the arms of your God upon death. Why not baptize yourself in the water of your higher power, just cleanse your mind, body, and soul in the ocean, what greater water mass is there that was created by God. It is always a good thing to allow your higher power to clean you. Good Luck!

you should get baptised in Jesus, not a religion.
No religion has the whole truth, they all pick and choose which parts of the bible to believe or not to believe.
No religion can save you, only Jesus does the Saving.
Which church or denomination most closely lines up with the bible? that is one question that has bugged me for a long time, and in all my research the answer is none. All of them are full of mankinds doctrines.
The choice of where to get baptised is something you will have to figure out on your own. You alone are responsible for your soul - your belief's. Asking others to tell you what to do isn't a good option.
Search the bible and pray to God to find the right answer.

Every religion has not got the same god. Please do not be baptized unless you study religion 101. Baptists (a sect of Christianity) baptize adult believers. You appear to believe something which is simply untrue. Also you are not baptized into a religion - you are baptized into Christ. Go googling!

You need to be baptized into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Why? Because it is the only Church that has the authority to baptize someone in God's name.
For example, can you drive a car without a license? Well, you can, but not legally. Can your friend make a license for you? I guess, but it will not be valid in the eyes of the State.
Likewise, a person needs to have authority given him from God to baptize you and to have it be valid in the eyes of God.
The authority to baptize was given to Joseph Smith, first prophet of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, by John the Baptist, who was sent from Heaven to give him that authority. That authority continues in that Church and no other.

Baptism is symbolic, it is identifying in the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Faith in the sinlessness of Christ, the virgin birth, the deth adn resurrection of Christ and whole hearted commitment to Him is the way to salvation. Being baptised just to join a religion will not bring you into a relationship with God.

I don't see why you need a church to validate you.
But why not look at all of the religions out there. Do some reading, or visit non-standard churches and services. Who knows? Maybe Buddha or Jain have the answers for you.

First, you'll need to understand the gospel, believe it, obey it, get baptized into His (Jesus' church), and be faithful.
The ones that MOST closely resemble the New Testament church of the bible I see is the "church of Christ". Their basic, fundamental doctrine that they preach and practice MOST closley resembles the "church".
Peace

Examine the truth claims of the varied religions and the one that seems most apostolic,universal,long-lasting,nourishing and united should be the one to join. I am convinced that that church is the Catholic Church.
