... that the "Religion & Spirituality" section applies to EVERY religion (and not just theirs) aznd that Atheism is a religion like any other (just without a God) and therefore has every right to be here?
And that Spirituality also applies to people who believe in the "occult"?

Forgot to add; it is based on belief rather than actual proof, so yes.

Luckily we don't all have the exact same disease and there's never just one cure to a disease (ask any doctor)

Not just because I say so - just because if they would actually buy that (and why not, so many people buy what the bible tells them) it gives atheists a right to be here and then they can't report you if they feel the need ----- anyway religion or not (it's still a belief, whichever way you look at it) a place like this should see both sides of a certain topic, so atheism belongs here just as much as any other religion or theism belongs here.

None of the other religions here ever said christians don't belong here - nor have I heard or seen them say that atheists don't belong here... that's why this question is directed to christians.

I agree. But there seems to be more Christian bashing than there is Atheist bashing.

LOL! You just love this section! Well here is the best answer I can give based upon my belief and my lack of belief! I think everyone has the right to believe what they want! It is in an opinion not a FACT! There is no proof to back any religion in fact! It is all a matter of the fact that it gives people hope that they are taken care of by an unseen power! My belief is that that power is the universe and all that is in it! Not a god that made us in his own image! Now when it comes to the religious fanatics well what can you do with them they live in another reality and that is fine for them as long as they don't try to push it on me then I will have to tell them like it is! The reality of it is there is no proof of how come we are here! Based upon our human thought process everything has a begining and an end right? So which came first the chicken or the egg? You can't truly say that god has always been there and he/she didn't start from something! So what did he/she come from? Go ahead and come up with your retorts that you have been brain washed into thinking but you have zero to base it upon in this reality we are in now ! I just like to think of what this world would truly be like with no religions at all! War would almost not exsit now would it! If you really sit and think about it almost all conflicts in the world throughout history have been cause by religious beliefs have they not! Even what is now going on in the middle east can be attributed to religion! In that we are the white Catholic's / infidels (broad generalisation of people in this country do to propaganda there!) And us believing that all Muslims are evil (once again propaganda by us but not as bad as there!) Hell look at WWII Hitler and the Jews or the Crusades I mean I could go on and on and on but you get the idea! Just think about it!

Atheism, like theism, is not a religion. Atheism is the antithesis of religion. Theism is the study and belief of God, but has nothing to do with the organized worship of said God. No one argues anyone's right to be here, but this forum is for questions and responses, so are you suggestion everyone but Christians have the right to question and respond?

Why aren't you pointing this question at any other religions, just Christians? If it's suppose to be equal, than why are you just asking this to us? I guess you must not think it is. The other religions are always on here bashing Christians. Why don't you tell them, too?
You are doing to us what you say we are doing to others. Double standard?
We are defending our beliefs, just like everyone else does.
JESUS WAS RIGHT. THE WORLD DOES HATE US. That's ok. So be it.

I agree with you that the R&S section isn't just for Christians -- but I don't agree that atheism is a religion.
A religion is a given system of beliefs about the Divine. But since atheists deny the existence of the Divine, they are in effect denying the reality of religion.
Atheism is a lack of religion -- or more accurately, a rejection of it.

Atheism is not considered a religion, although some forms of buddhism could be considered atheistic in nature.
I understand your point.. you're trying to be inclusive.
This is an open forum where anyone can post. It isn't exclusionary, and some (not all) christians do seem to ignore that fact.

The most powerful thing in this world is what
your saying.
In any belief system thats related to spirituality is very personal to that
persons well being.
Being a believer or non believer.
I think people get too judgemental on both sides and they tend to clash.
I feel that both sides of the fence have
great contributions to the spiritual section.

atheism is a religion? That shows the insanity of your question...and we don't forget other religions in this section and we welcome other spiritualists..least i do..but honestly athiests do not belong in a section that promotes ideas that they dont' agree with....it's insanity and they rarely have anything else to say other than the usual blasphemy and mocking and ridicule cause they're so tollllllllllllllerant and open miiiiiiiiiiiiinded!

As a Christian my present attitude about atheist on here is 'Have at it'. Just be aware that I also see atheists as not believing in 'no god' but the god of man(self).

What if this was a section for diseases, and everyone who came on had the exact same disease, but then many people would come on giving different cures, when there is only ONE cure that works.
The people who share the cure that know this is the ONLY cure, do this becuase they love others and care about what happens to them.
If you had a cure for a disease and knew everyone needed that cure, because we all had the same disease, would you share it?
