Grammatically, “I like summer the most” is the correct version since “the most” is an adverb, determining the verb “to like”. God (better, the best) is an adjective, so it should be used to qualify nouns. But, if you said “summer (the noun in this case) is the best season”, this would have been the correct version!
However, both versions are acceptable to most Anglophones.

Both sound OK to me, except that I would probably say "I like summer best" (i.e. without the "the")

I think they are both fine like that - personal preference though, I think "I like summer the most" sounds better . . .
. . . but my grammar is horrible
