Has anyone used a Konika Minolta Black and White disposable camera for a wedding or other special events?

I thought it would be great artistic alternative to using regular color disposable, but I was wondering about the quality of the pictures.

Actually, Konica's B&W C-41 film is not bad. And Konica disposable cameras are as good as anyones. Just check the expiration date on it, Konica is out of business, but there is still some film around that is within date. I don't know how artistic the images will be, though. Usually pictures made by wedding guests with cardboard cameras are less than thrilling, but who knows? You may get lucky!

Don't be surprised if your B&W prints look either red or cyan. If they are terribly off in color, ask your photofinisher to reprint them.

I have used both Kodak and Konica and prefer the Kodak but both will actually do the job.

The thing about using any of these type of one time use cameras at a wedding party is that most people don't know how to push the button down to make sure the flash goes off and you end up with a lot of bad pics. However, I have been at weddings that taped big easy to read instructions on the back of the cameras or they had someone announce how to use them at the start of the party.

I think the black and white idea is a great idea.

I have not used that particular type of camera. However I used to process and develope film for about five years and do know that your best bet is to go with a brand you know and trust (like Kodak or Fuji). Any other brand or store brand will generally give you really bad results. I personally was never all that thrilled with Konica film in and of itself; but I don't know how their cameras hold up. You could buy one and test it out under similar lighting conditions as what your reception will have. That will let you know for sure what to expect.

Also make sure that the cameras come with a flash even if the event is for outside.
