I just graduated with a degree in Biomedical Engineering. Let me tell you, there is not a demand for girls in that field, plus it doesn't pay that great.

If I were you I would definitely check out Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Civil Engineering.

Good luck!

Girls, boys must engineering companies now don't care but they really care about the GPA. They also really like it if you had a internship or two related to your job field before you get out of school. Where I went to school UMCP (university of Maryland at college park) the most interesting and well paid engineering discipline was Fire Protection Engineering. I did not learn about it until I was a junior and too late to change majors or I would have been in that. My field is Electrical Engineering it is enjoyable and I get paid well but if I had to do it again I would go for Fire Protection Engineering

If i speak frankly i would say for girls computer engineering is better and is also highly paid it is hard for the girls to actually be a civil engineer because if u r a civil engineer u have to deal with a lot of difficult stuff like the dust in the work place and so on

Any engineering field will have a demand for women (EEOC, Affirmative Action rules, and all). If you pass your engineering courses and graduate, you'll not have any trouble finding work.

The highest paid engineers are typically electrical engineers, but come computer engineers are highly paid, as well.

I've come across a disproportinate number of females who are enviromental engineers. It also seems to be a growing field as states and locales impose more and more enviromental regulations on site development. Interesting? Probably, as it may require more time in the field/outsoors than other types of engineering. Highly paid? not sure about that one. Good luck to you what ever you choose.

Any field would be in demand for women.

I am a mechanical engineering, but think that one very interesting and well-paid area would be aeronautical engineering.
