There are good things to want as well as not so good things to want. To desire close relation with God, or Heaven, or even wealth (depending in how you would use wealth), or a husband/wife, or good fellowship/friends - these are all good things to want. There are also many evil things to desire such as your neighbor's wife, greed, or revenge... but even moreso I would say it's how you want something, and by what means are you going to try to get it - so it's more the how and why that will cause a certain desire to be "evil" or from the devil. So want can absolutely be the devil's playground, but it can also lead you to God and happiness based on how you apply it to everyday life.

It depends on what you want. If you want food because you are starving, then you want a basic need. If you want a Lexus because all you can afford is a Honda, then the devil is your master.

No.
God is the Devil's master.
The Devil is not capable of doing anything without the knowledge of god. There is nothing that the devil can do that god can not prevent.
So, all the acts of the devil are sanctioned by god.
Or they could both be fantasies of bronze age nomads.

Nope. If we didn't want things, then not even natural selection would work well, considering that it most likely would require a want to survive, out-reproduce, and outlive the competation. Even if you go up to humans, the greatest inventions and technological advances have been created by people who WANTED something. Money, fame, to make things easier, better, ext. Want is in fact useful for the survival and for advancement of species.

No, you can "want" what ever you would desire, but the actions for obtaining these 'wants', could be construed as the Devils' master?

No that would be pride. It was the devil's down fall, and the same thing he works on humans the most.

Sorry but "translation please". I don't understand the question. "The devils master"? The devil has no master.

Mark 11:24 "Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire(want), when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them." The catch is you must want Godly things, and must be in Gods will.
