Why is it that 70 years are not enough after all the challenges we have faced on this earth, why is it that some people still wish to come back here?

Immortality in this world is, without doubt, the most terrifying fate I can imagine. To live forever would be a fate far worse than anything dreamt by the Christians who invented "hell".

To come back again, to be reincarnated, would be another thing altogether. I'm all for that.

For me, reincarnation is like going to school. Each life we lead is like a class in school. If we learn the lessons we're supposed to, in the next life on earth we move upward (or graduate) to greater challenges and experiences. If we don't learn those spiritual lessons, we return to a life similar to the one we just left (like being held back until you pass your finals) . . . until we get it right, and can move on.

I dunno . . . it just seems to work for me.

It gets better and better. From glory to glory. Actually if you use your intuition as your guide the mind thinks in images and is powerful enough for these times and forever. People are switching to the right brain as it's instant while the conscious mind plods along with words, the mind images 24 frames a second and our awaresness processes them with no speed limit. The times are speeding up and we have to let the mind do it's job. The right brain accessed through intuition is where all your joy is also. Pain, questionings and suffering is in the left brain. That's what we mostly use now. I don't want to miss anything.

I wouldn't. Think about all the people you would love and lose during, say, a 1000 year lifespan. You would find yourself alone, over and over again.

Finding a good circle of friends is hard enough in a 70-year lifespan.

You are wrong. MOST people do not want to live forever.
Whay makes you feel as if 70 years are enough? Would you want to kill everyone when they turn 70?

When God first created Adam and Eve he created them to live forever on a paradise earth, when they chose to disobey God they brought sin or death not only to themselves but us, their descendants as well. That is why we all grow old, get sick and die. But all humans have the desire to live forever because the Bible tells us that he "put time indefinite in our hearts" meaning that God gave us the desire to live forever.(Romans 5:12)

They are not sure of what they will meet when they die...

They may wish to come back here only if they die and discover the truth, and they will like to come back here to do good and obey God's rules and die again... But they will not be able to come back...
