If you are in desperate NEEEED of a babysitter, then go for it. If you have some time before you need to leave the youngins home for an evening, then my first choice would be to network.
Use a friend's teenage son/daughter. Find a nice old lady at church. Whatever. It's important to find someone who deserves your trust, seems intelligent and is dependable.

In the mail boxes and doors of your neighborhood. Put flyers on cars in local parking lots. Try targeting your prime market by posting flyers at Baby's R Us or other toddler/children stores.

Grocery stores, libraries, community centers, YMCA's, parks - any where there are moms. You should also try local "business living" type places like hotels and Oakwood suites - these places always have people looking for sitters. Good Luck!

Ohh, be careful! I know this isn't what you asked, and I'm sure you want to get some jobs, but PLEASE be very cautious about what kind of info you put on your fliers-- there are just so many weirdos out there, I'd hate to see anything bad happen to you!
