I know enough about magic to know not to use it unless there's no other way to achieve the same result.

Magic is part of some religions, such as wicca and paganism. Magic revolved around mind over matter principals. As far as the religious aspect we believe in nature and its importance, a balance in all things, for without the good there can be no bad, and a codependancy between all back. Magick and spells are pretty much are version of praying.

That depends, are you speaking of stage magic the likes of David Copperfield, which is done with misdirection and slight of hand or are you referring to magick as used by a lot of pagans. Magick is a form of creative visualization used (hopefully constructively) to bring about change within either the practitioner or the world around them.

Lots...Magick is Will + Imagination. Magick is science that hasn't been proven yet. Magick is a part of everything and is in and through everything and everyone...even if they don;t believe in it.

Any technology sufficiently advanced is indistinguishable from magic.
That being said, I believe that we are all connected to (for lack of a better term) a great cosmic web and that our thoughts can and do effect the reality around us.

I have a personal understanding of it that permits me to use it to my advantage... I know how to work it for myself. I know what symbols help focus it for me and when I need no focus. I know enough to be very discerning when to use it and what for. I know what doesn't work. I know how it feels when summoned.

You can spell it anyway you like, it is still a crock. Or in the case of Penn & Teller highly entertaining.

that magic differs from person to person...
whether someone doesn't believe in it,
to the person who sees magic everywhere in life.
